Back at work today. After over a facade in retail I'm still amazed by the rudeness of people the day after Christmas as they hunt for "bargains".

    Not cool.

Any recommendations for fun party games to play on the Kinect?

We played the dance game on the Wii last New Year's Eve and that was popular, but I think the tracklist is better on that than the Kinect equivalent. Which one has the best mix of 90's dance choons on it?

Other than that, what tried and tested party games on Kinect can you suggest?

Failing that, any good board games like Cranium, that everybody can get involved with?!

Buzz and singstar are all I know, but I'm guessing that's no use if you've got a wii and Kinect

Buzz in particular with 8 wireless buzzers and various family members was insane last year!

Best party things on Kinect are probably still the two Kinect Sports games to be honest.

Left a bag of stuff at work ready to trade in at CeX tomorrow - bunch of 360 games, SF4 Fight Pad and my lovely white PSP 2000. I even updated it from the 5.50 cfw to the latest official fw to make sure there's no going back. Ok, I could borrow a Pandora and restore it if I had the motivation but luckily I don't.

            ****'s going down, boys.

Finished Black Ops yesterday, gonna start MW3 and get that out the way. I remember the last time I 'got rid' of my 360, I rushed through the second half of GoW before trading it in

My New Year's resolution is 1024x768, because that's the res I'm playing Counter-Strike 1.6 at. Aww yeahhh...

I've heard at least 4 people now say their new years resolution is

...oh my god, I just got it!!! wow I'm stupid. It took me that long to get it. Resolution as in resolution!!! I did not see the connection for so long having heard several people say it. I was confused. Thought I'd leave that original half sentence in the post to give you a chuckle at how slow I am! I actually had to write a comment until I thought it through enough to realise.

ooops didn't see this. You need We Cheer 2. A great tracklist and you can (and should) use a remote in each hand.
It also wins all dance games by having the amazing Higher Ground (Red Hot Chili Pepper version). There's a bit of unlocking to do, so make sure that's done in advance of people coming round.

                    @ Rossco:

Also, I read that post - like I read all your posts - in the voice of Will Ferrell, which made it 9000 times better than it was already!

First day back to work and got a phone call saying I've been caught speeding @90mph on the M6!
                        Happy New year!

I thought that might happened, I saw the van like 1/2 a mile away on a flyover, I even slowed down. They must have a massive range.

The wind and rain here is getting a bit feisty. The Chinese take-away opposite our house has a plastic barrier / wall on the side of the balcony behind the shop. The wind just ripped it in half and sent a five foot long shard of pointy sharp plastic flying across the road like a javelin! Bloody lucky nobody was walking along the street at the time as anyone getting hit by it would have been seriously injured, or worse.

Hopefully it'll have calmed down a bit by the time we leave for Spurs this evening

Anyone know owt about university marking?

40 is a pass, but does that count per essay or overall for the module? So if I have two essays for 50% of the overall mark each and I get top marks in one and zero in the other, would that pass the module at 50, or would I fail the module for failing one of the essays?

This essay I'm writing is really, really ****. I'd give me less than zero if only I could.

That depends entirely on the university, and sometimes the professor teaching the module.

There's very little standardisation across uni's in the UK when it comes to *how* they score their students.

That's the answer I both assumed and feared

Oh well, there's not much I can do but hand this crap in and hope for a 40.
