We got to finish work early today at 1ish but had a 2 hour drive home.

Tyre blew out on the motorway, now I've had to roll into Leicester to get a new tyre

Got done by a speed gun last night doing about 45 in a 40, 3 lane carriageway, 11:45pm, not a single other car on the road, yes i was speeding, but the timing can't be worse with the possibility of redundancy imminent. Hopefully i get the option of one of those speed awareness courses so I don't dirty my clean license with points and affect my insurance at renewal time.

I wanna buy the new Chemical Brothers BR+CD. It's around ?18 online, probably more instore at HMV, but a whopping ?6 at CeX. I bet if I trek up there it will have been sold in the meantime. I'm usually unlucky with stuff like this. Trying to get CeX mates to ring them and reserve it.

Koops - that just sounds awkward though. A bit like when you say "French stick" with that pause in the middle and clear pronunciation to make it clear you aren't saying "French dick".

I used to work for them. It's meant to be sex(and is used as such internally to hilarious effect, like their intranet called cexlife)

I remember the helpline used to say 'Welcome to sex' but then they changed it to 'Welcome to c-e-x'.

I always have and always will call it Computer Exchange, though, because it just sounds better. Recently I've found I have to say CeX because I'm coming across people who only know it as that, but they're few and far between and I care not for their ignorance. The CeX thing happened around the time they realised they sell a heck of a lot more things than computers.

I think it's up to the franchises what they call it. Stratford is called Creative Entertainment Exchange, but yeah, the general thing was Complete Entertainment Exchange.
