Gotta ask something, if you have a doctors or dentist appointment, do you have to take time off from your holidays? Say if i had to go the doctors for 2 hours for a check up would it be acceptable to jus have that time off form work without dipping into yah holiday time? Is it expected that you make the time up in yah lunch hours?
My company is part of this investors in peoples malarky if thats any means anything.

My company gives 1 hour as standard for Dr/Dentist and officially the rest is to be made back up but my manager is super laid back and we can take what we need, half days for hospital appointments etc.
It's probably down to your company rather than a standard thing. Ask your boss?Comment

Bad luck dude. They don't even give an hour? Check with HR on that without going through your boss if you can, that sounds a bit harsh.
Try booking the appt. really early or late if you can. It also helps if the Doc is either near your home or near your work, far from both will be a pain and cost you a lot of timeComment

Aye, yeah the hospital is a few miles away and nowhere near my work or home, also they dont do my appointment after or before working hours! To top it off, there is no free car park! Life sux!
