I decided to hook up my Dreamcast via VGA to my Panny 42" Plasma and it looks feckin terrific. Sega really have made a great little console, nearly 10 years old and the graphics still look lush and vivid.

That's bad to hear man.

I have a few close relatives that are getting on a fair bit (approaching the 90's). I really can't be arsed with all of them dying within a few years of each other.... one of the reasons why I want to run away to another country.

I don't do funerals.

Still, I'd rather they die whilst in a healthy state of mind, rather than aging to the point where they don't recognise friends or family anymore. I can't imagine anything worse. This is why I believe in eating/drinking/smoking/injecting whatever the hell you want... the last thing I want is for my body to live to 130yrs old, and my mind only keeping up for 90 of those years.

Still, my grandad used to live like that from 18-50, living off of fry-ups and whiskey, then he decided to go all fitness ffs. wtf? 87yrs old or something and I still wouldn't mess. He still has all his original teeth too, apart from the ones he's lost during fights (army boxing stint). Infact it's his birthday next Wednesday. Let me try and find a 'fotie' to cheer ppl up.....

Thank you everybody, your kind words mean a lot.

My dad was ill for a very long time, his Dad died when he was 16 and his Mum drowned when he was 18. I don't think he ever grieved properly over it and spent the majority of the last 30 years looking into the bottom of a vodka bottle. When i was 16 we were told he was lucky to live 6 months due to his drinking, i am now 24 so he 'survived' a long time with it. He died last night from a massive cardiac arrest.
At least he has finally found peace after so long
