Yeah, mine is a wagon type. I bought the wagon because I take a lot of stuff around to the post office all the time and travel so it's great for luggage. It was also 500'000 yen cheaper than the saloon yet still drives just as well. Doesn't look as cool mind you but you can't have everything I guess.

I had a remap done a few months back just before the cars MOT was due. Set me back a whopping 530 quid or there abouts. The missus went ape **** as well, hahaha. Funny now that I think about it but not at the time. To her there was nothing different apart from "Getting stuck in the seat". Women, aye.

That front splitter looks very nice. I have been putting a little away each month for such an add on BUT I keep dipping in to it With a wife and kid plus paying of a new house loan, saving for the car is very tough. Still, you're shopping list is quite big and pretty cool. How on earth can you afford so much stuff?

Actually once childcare arrived, I was screwed for money - instead of saving, I was dipping into it each month. But my business is entering an exciting phase - turned over £11k last month and covered off the childcare costs. Next month should start going back to saving over and above the childcare. So I can't afford it at the moment, but maybe next year some time. I have other things I need to start putting aside for too, like school fees in case we want to go down that route. Oh and with all those upgrades, I'll still not make as much power as yours, but it's only a 2.0, not a 2.5 - I could just get the turbo and remap, but I want the engine to last, so the more power I can make at lower pressure the better.

The turbo is loving this cold weather - 4 wheels spinning up in a straight line

I've put together a new driving video. I've sort of fixed the audio issue I had with the last video. This time I've used in car recorded audio mixed with outside audio to give an all-round better sound in Stereo.

The original video file is an M2TS 1920x1080 HD video with Dolby Digital audio file but that's way to big to store on my server and you'll need a powerful PC to run it. So I've down sampled it to DVD format which has kept the image pretty much spot on. The only problem is that the 16.9 aspect ratio changed to 4.3 so you'll need to force 16.9 in your video player.

The video is now online. Running time is 9:48 at 720 x 480 resolution. The file size is 254MB. Get it from here - http://www.segagagadomain.com/drive2.avi

If anyone is interested I can convert the original 1920 x 1080 video to avi. It will lose some quality but will be better than what I currently have. The files size will be massive though I'd guess but at least the aspect ratio will be fixed.

Yeah nice vid, but not because of the car. Too be honest that part was a bit dull. When you said you was travelling at 100mph it felt like you was doing 30mph.

But I kept watching anyway, I like Japanese culture and was a nice guided tour around your neighbourhood.

Yeah, I know. The image of speed just doesn't come out on the videos. Coudl it be because of frame rate conversions? I watched it back myself and it seemed as if I was going the same speed from setting off until stopping at a red light.

That's the main point really. I'll be doing another soon in real HD quality on an "Initial D" style road. I won't be driving like mad mind you. The road is far too narrow plus it's NOT one way, far too dangerous to dive like a nutter. Plus I don't want to scrape my body work on the road barriers.

Cool, I'll look forward to it. No mad man driving required, just a nice leisurely tour will do.

It's pretty difficult to convey speed when in-car, look at how fast this Porsche 997 is going but how slow it seems.

You have to laugh, car insurance seems to have gone b-b-bonkers in the current economic climate.

Got my insurance renewal quote through and expected it to be a few quid more as it usually goes up...

... seems this time they want to charge me an extra £169 pound!! And put my excess up by £100!

That's the biggest jump in my insurance I've ever seen. Quick jump onto the price comparison sites and I can get the same level of cover for just £40 more than I'm currently paying but nothing lower.

Current insurer can't match it - Bye then!

Wow, 200kmph and yet that also looked slow. At least I know it's not a problem with my camera then.

That's nuts! What car are you driving for them to ask them much extra?
