Depending on how new the car you're looking for is, dealer sister companies are a great place to pick up a deal. I'm not sure what they are called in English but I bought my 2007 Impreza STi in February 2008 for 1 million yen which was about 6500 pounds at the time from SUDAS which is Subaru's ex-display car dealer. The fact that it was a manual helped with the lower price since Japanese would rather have automatic (idiots!) and the car had done 1200km in test driving BUT it was mint. Brand new tires, wipers, carpets and so on. It was like buying a new car for a fraction of the price. In total I got almost 50% off.

So if there are similar places in the UK and you're after a recent car it may be worth checking them out.

I had a hard top too yes. Wont make all that much difference to the temperature inside tbh. What it did do was firm up the chassis a bit which made the ride better. It also improves the looks a lot in my opinion. The rear visability is ten times better with the hard top too (but a million times better with no top )

That is completely nuts price! What a steal and for a manual. Imprezas certainly arent that cheap over here.

Imprezas are very common where I live. See at least 5 every day on the way to and from work.

Same here. Probably more so than that. Tons of sports cars in the Uk and in my area. I think I saw about 7 yesterday, Imprezas that is and I was on the road for 10 mins max.

For Atticus and Charlesr, this is from the week i got the little restoration project CRX back from getting resprayed. Seeing this pic again just makes me want another.......

The bodywork was in a really sorry state when i picked it up, but it had been with the same guy for the 14 years previous. I sold it to a young lad from devon, and i managed to get this pic from a sales thread he made for it using one my original sales photos. He's absolutely ruined it and it's looking a bit rough again, it now has GREEN wheels on it. Should've bloody kept it.

Can't understand why green wheels are popular. Regularly see a Vauxhall Astra and Citroen Saxo around the area I work, and they've got both got bright green alloys... the Astra owner has even gone as far as to paint the car logos green aswell. Bloody ugly.

That's something I have never seen around these parts and the modifying scene is really popular round here. Sounds disgusting.

Has anyone used any of those dent and scratch repair services? I have a scratch on the rear bootlid of the car and cannot be bothered putting it to the body shop again. It's already been off road twice since October for accident damage. And three weeks of being unable to use the car in December has made me loathe to let it out my sight for any length of time.
I was wondering if these home visit scratch repair companies are actually any good and what kind of money they charge.
