Aquaria has been released. It's a gorgeous swim-em-up that I think was pretty popular on PC, a little Ecco-ish but mystical and beautiful. Looks lovely on the iPad and, so far, works beautifully. Only criticism is making me sit through an intro far too long. We're iOS owners! Don't they know we could be checking email or something more important?!

    Great game though.

Zen Pinball is out today. The main app is free and it comes with one free table - Sorcerer's Lair. Also available to buy are the Wolverine and Captain America table, both at something like €1.50. Not sure what that is in the Queen's pennies. It looks and plays amazing on my iPad and those tables are a steal at that price.

Agreed on Zen Pinball. Really, REALLY good. Bought the Captain America table. The tables themselves are REALLY well done and designed to me.

Managed to land 3rd place on Sorcerer's Lair and 1st place on Captain America. Awwwww yeah

Space Tripper has just had an update to add new control options. If you enjoyed it on the PC or Mac years ago you'll feel right at home with this version.

Yeah, I was proper impressed with Forever Drive. I love it to pieces, the track creation is super nice as well!

Over the last few days, I've been playing Rebuild on iPad. It looks like a sort of SimCity with zombies and plays a bit like a board game. Basically, you're survivors of the zombie apocalypse in the middle of a town and the aim is to take territory back, find more survivors and create a community. It's simple but I find it really engrossing and it's tough on the harder difficulty levels. Those zombies don't go down easy and morale can plummet when the undead start overrunning your farms and you run out of food. It's a good game.

Sonic CD was released today. It plays beautifully. A wonderful port.

Also GTA3 got released today too. Haven't played it yet and not sure how it will work with virtual controls but I'm willing to give it a go.

Absolutely amazing day of releases on the AppStore, and proof to its detractors that iOS gaming isn't just for casual fans who like to flick birds about the screen.

For those that are wondering GTA 3 plays brilliantly, I'm not a fan of the directional arrows used for driving, but they are better than the ones in the iOS version of china Town wars. On foot it plays fantastically, mainly due to the fact that it doesn't use a fixed analogue stick, I'm not sure why driving wasn't done the same way.

Anyway it's a great "anniversary edition" of the game, I'm not the worlds biggest GTA fan or anything but even I can highly recommend it.

There are also some other great looking games out today too, such as Trenches 2 and a port of the wii racing game Mad Tracks (although I'm not actually sure if that's suppose to be a good game or not). There's also a freemium versions of Puzzle Quest 2 out but I'm not sure how that works.

Also the pricing of all these games is really pleasing, I don't think there is one that costs over ?2.99, and that includes GTA 3

Oh yeah and I agree about Rebuild, great game and very addictive, although its also slightly depressing when your camps moral drops and all your members start offing themselves.

Shame that rebuild game is iPad only - looks decent.
