Yeah. I had that. "Forget" the network, then re-add it. Seems to work properly again after that.

To forward a message, just click edit in the conversation and then select the message you want to forward. Some options should spring up for forwarding or selective deletion.

To copy text, just hold down on the speech bubble and hey presto, paste it into whatever you want.

Yeah O2 have threatened to 'disconnect or charge' stealth tethering users:

It's just totally unreasonable that they should charge in the first place though; I already pay £45 a month for a plan which includes 'unlimited' data, it's crazy that they demand an extra £15 to use a feature built into my phone.

So what's the point of the shake to shuffle feature? It apparently doesn't work unless the iPod/iPhone is turned on and running the music app, which seems to make it entirely useless. I'd assumed it'd let you skip tracks without having to unlock it, but as it is, it's much quicker to just double tap the button and use the on-screen controls to skip. Am I missing something?

I use it in the car, quickly double tap the home button and shake.

For me it's easier to do that while driving than looking at the screen.

I've been having quite a little bit of fun with that free internet tethering.

But i've been keeping usage light and have actually made sure to turn 3G off.

I'm surprised at how well it works without a 3G signal actually, and was able to very, very happily get a game of Phantasy Star Online out of it!

Which means i'll be able to start playing it while i'm at work.

Oh...dear.

Still... I know £15 a month is very very steep but me being me, i'm actually willing to pay that. I've tried it, it's incredibly good and works very fast, and it's a feature i'd love to use and abuse.

Seems theres plenty of people spitting blood about this teathering charge, personally i think all iphone pricing has become an utter joke (id never buy one again with the current state of affairs despite my liking for the phone)

i think the main point it that other providers don't make this kind of charge and O2 don't make this charge on non-iPhone tarrifs. It's a monopolistic (that should be a real word if it isn't already) strategy and it sucks. I'm currently looking at selling my iPhone and buying myself out of my contract.

Yes it does suck majorly! I done this for free with my N95 over a year ago so why can't I do it with my iPhone and it's UNLIMITED DATA plan!?

Well I have all my contacts back, but no music and all my apps have vanished, and they're not on any of the other pages how do I get them back? Some I downloaded via itunes but the others were downloaded on my iphone - can I get them back?!

Have you enabled automatic sync for your music and apps? Or did you manage your content manually, ie drag and drop?
