Ah MMS works for me now, if you are having trouble text MMS to 1010 and that will activate it (they send you a MMS to confirm)

I got a message that they know there is a problem and they will sort it out, due to demand

You'll have to manually reload all of your music back on, sadly. I used to do this myself but grew tired that every new update would require me to once again reload everything, so I just setup some playlists and have the iPhone automatically sync to them.

If you set your apps to auto sync as well, the iPhone should just pull them from your iTunes setup.

I have an SMS from 1010 saying I'm all set up for MMS but it still doesn't work!

I know new firmware for anything is always risky business but a few people on here seem to be having issues. Is there usually so many problems with the iPhone?

It's my first update since buying it and I've had no issues with MMS or anything else. I think I was lucky in that I got in early but I started downloading and within 10 minutes I'd sent & received my first MMS on it.

I've not noticed any other problems yet so I'm just hoping I just got really lucky with this.

Anybody know what O2 charge to send an MMS? Does an MMS just count as one of my inclusive 500 SMS?

                  Try reinstalling the carrier settings

                  google for the
                  o2_uk.ipcc file

load up itunes hold shift an click restore, find that file and voila MMS and official (signed) tethering settings

                    it counts as 4

I'm surprised by that, I really thought it would count as a maximum of 2! They're 25p each when chargeable too.

It's not as if I'll be sending that many as I'll be using email for most people but not everybody uses that on their phone. The main thing is I'll now be able to to receive MMS from people again.

BTW, I urge anyone with a problem over the pricing of tethering an iPhone to contact OFCOM. Apparently they have said they will investigate it if enough people complain.

Well even though i've happily paid the cost i'll still be having a word with them about it, as with an unlimited data plan it is incredibly silly that we have to pay to have it limited and tethered.

I'm very tempted by the new Iphone S. I have an app for my Nokia N82 which logs my position with the GPS and then exports the data to a .gpx file which I can use to geotag my photos. Is there an app for the Iphone that'll let me do that?

The iPhone 3G and S add geotag data (if you enable it) to photos already I believe. Not sure if you wanted/needed to do it via an app for your needs, but at least this way it cuts out the middle man.

Where have all you Real Racing players gone? I start playing and you all bugger off lol.
Really in to this game now, confused by the League scoring/disappearing though

Had the idea of sticking an iPhone in a Mario Kart Wii Wheel and see someone's already done it

                                says it works quite well.

On a different note, read about a few people moaning that the new S phone is actually slower on the more demanding games, really noticeable slowdown etc.
