Taito have released Raystorm and apparently it's very good. However I'm not willing to pay ?6 for an App that isn't universal.

Bug Princess 2 Black Label is out. However the new Boss Rush mode requires an in app purchase. If you have the previous two games in the series on your device you can play the Boss Rush mode once a day for free. It's a universal app with high res graphics though. ?9.99 though. Seems pretty steep if you have already bought the original.

It is steep, and I won't be buying it until it drops in price. Which is saying a lot coming from me.

It's the most they've ever asked for a Cave release.

I've been out of the loop for a long time. Just ordered myself an iPad 2, went for that as it was much cheaper. Just wondering what apps i should be checking out (other than Pinball Arcade and the Cave titles), how are the comic apps on ipad anyway?

I bought all of them for my iPad, well worth the price. The soundtracks for the smartphone modes kick ass especially ddp res.

I caved and got Bug Princess 2 Black Label.

Good port but there's one quite fundamental problem with it in my eyes.

Score doesn't scale with difficulty.

Why did they make that decision when score DID scale with difficulty in Bug Princess?!

It renders the entire risk/reward element of Black Label almost totally null. Normal mode maximum rank is pish, Hell mode @ maximum rank pretty much forces you to bomb out or die to lower the rank and carry on, hence the risk element.

That's a fundamental part of what made Black Label special totally gone. T_T

Infinity Blade is down from ?3.99 to 69p. Note that it's only the first one, and not the second game.

There's a free update for Sonic Racing which adds Ulala and the Monkey Cup. If you've already completed the Egg Cup you have to do it again to unlock Monkey Cup though. And the Monkey Landing track is the most stupid annoying level in a racing game ever.

I got R-Type for 69p. Can't really get on with any of the control schemes however.
