I just seen UFC on Fox and it was a short fight but what impressed me more was the production.
It was so well polished and if this is the start of more exciting things for MMA, well, I'm buzzing cause I'm a fight fan...

Can Hendo get past Jone's incredibly long reach to land that over-hand right? can Jones be the first person to ever put Hendo away? will Hendo be the person to register a takedown against Jones?

Very interesting match-up. Really hoping Hendo can land that bomb. Apart from Alexander Gustafsson and Phil Davis there aren't many fighters on the horizon that look like they'll have any sort of chance against Jones.

What an odd series of events. Hendo gets injured, Chael Sonnen of all people is offered a titleshot against Jones, Jones declines. Machida is asked if he'll take Hendo's place and he declines. The event is cancelled. Then Vitor Belfort accept the fight at 153 to take Jones on in Brazil.

I like Vitor, but as good as his hands are I can't see him getting past Jones stretch-armstrong-like reach.

Jones had everything to lose and nothing to gain fighting Sonnen.

Vitor will have home advantage, unfortunately it'll amount to naught when Jones stretches from side of the octagon to the other to kick his head clean off.

It probably means that sonnen vs Jones will happen in the future and gives the fight a selling point.

Weigh-ins yesterday. Belfort looks much healthier at 205 - almost like he did in his early UFC career. Still think this is Jone's to lose, but I expect Vitor to come out guns blazing!

Agree with Rogan. Should be an absolute barn burner. Also, nice to see Bisping get a good reception - I know he's acted like a prat on the odd occasion but the hate he's received over the years has been a bit excessive.

Couple of great fights on tonights Fox 6 card!



A lot of good fighters have turned down fighting Glover (Shogun, Machida, Hendo) so I'm expecting fireworks between him and Rampage. Also this will be Rampages last fight in the UFC.

Another superb match-up is Donald 'The Cowboy' Cerrone vs Pettis (the guy who did the flying kick off the side of the cage a few pages back) which will see the winner fight for the 155lbs title.

Henderson must be due back in the cage soon, must check when his next fights is come to think of it.

Thanks God we've seen the back of 2012, the year that was the worst ever for pre-fight injuries.

UFC 156 is on this weekend with one of the most stacked cards I've seen in ages.

I can see Overeem walking through Bigfoot straight into a title shot. Silva just isn't fast enough to get out of the way of those knees. Aldo vs Edgar will be a classic, I have no doubts. Evans wants another shot at Jon Jones so I'm interested to see how that fight plays out. Another intriguing match-up is Jon 'The Blanket' Fitch vs Maia. Can 'the blanket' lay on Maia for three rounds without advancing position or will the jiu-jistu skills of Maia prevail? got my fingers crossed for a Maia win!
