Does anyone know if Apple fix the iPhone 3G screen? I clumsily dropped it the other day and now theres a big ass crack down the screen. It works perfectly, but the crack is very annoying to look at.

Or does anyone know if its possible to get an upgrade to the 16GB 3G. Im about 4 months into the contract and wouldnt mind starting it again if I could get the upgrade.

If anyone's still looking for a case, I recommend the SwitchEasy CapsuleRebel. It's basically a rubber skin with a tough plastic spine to keep it rigid, and it also comes with a few accessories like a universal dock adaptor so that it still works on that, a couple of screen protectors, etc. It does make the phone more bulky, but I honestly didn't notice until I took it off the other day. It doesn't make the phone any less usable at all.

It got an A- from iLounge here.

I'd prefer not to use a case, but I know I'll drop it sooner or later and want some protection. It does have the added benefit that you can put the phone face down on a table without the screen touching it, though.

Is it not covered as standard on your usual phone insurance with O2/CPW? or are apple doing there usual crap where only they can replace their products not a retailer?

Had to replace mine due to an intermittant fault on my home button.

What a horrible experience. Booked a week in advance to "get an appointment" to have it looked at.

Snotty and rude "genius" tells me he doesn't think its a proper fault so we argue about it for 10 minutes before he gives in and swaps me one out.

The whole thing is a pain. I wouldn't have minded if I could still use the thing but if the home button fails you are proper stuck with this device.

I am going to be extra careful with this one just to avoid having to take it in for repair ever.

I had accidentally called my gramp while putting my iphone into my pocket, I realised a bit later and called him up to apologise and then about half an hour after that phone call I got a voice mail alert - I open up the voice mail and it is the conversation I just had with my gramp but only from his side O_o ...what the hell?
