?495 for the 16gb model + ?10 for a sim with ?10 credit. (I bought one to put my contract sim in just before xmas and sold my 3gs)

Easily the best phone on the market if you ask me

Allegedly it was fixed on the 3rd of Jan. Set as a recurring alarm and it works just fine

Windows Phone 7 has only been around for a few months so there are hardly any games available. iPhone has tons and tons and TONS of games available on the App Store, a lot of dross but many great ones too. So yeah the iPhone is about a thousand times better for gaming.

I'm sooooo hacked off with the iphones wireless - or 'lack of ability to sustain a wireless connection' issues. My 3gs will work fine for a month or so, then will not find my router. All though 2 laptops have no issue at all connecting.

Loads of people have the same issue - and it's frustrating as hell.

Yup, I had a sim-free iPhone 3GS and swapped between O2 and Three with no problems.

If you're happy to go with vodafone then they've got some great sim deals that give real good cashback (up to £120) through Quidco .

                    Here you go http://www.quidco.com/vodafone

Human energy is it simple to swap over sims, i take it you use the itunes store and re register?

ooh maybe i will get some quidco through apple store too, will check out those vodaphone deals cheers

i want a sim that will allow me 3g access, ie anywhere without wifi spots?
i know they let you have so much 500mb per month when you top up £10 and some say £ 1 per day if you connect for so much access. £10 top up would last me at least 2 months

To be honest I can't actually remember if you had to connect to iTunes or anything like that after swapping the sim cards I know I had no problems doing it though so whatever the procedure it must have been an easy one.

Swapping SIMs could not be easier, just put a pin or the provided thingy into the little slot on the side of the iPhone 4, the SIM pops out and you can replace it. You don't have to reactivate with iTunes either. However, if you buy an iPhone 4 the only way to unlock it is to jailbreak it. Only the 3G and 3GS models have had official O2 unlocks offered.

Most of the deals that offer X data usage for 10 quid top up only allow you to use that date for the next 30 days, so it's a minimum top up per month essentially.

Any SIM that offers data in some way (pretty much all of them) will give you 3G access.

Sim-free is definitely the way forward and means a lot more for resale value too.

My girlfriend has a 3GS locked to Vodafone (bought from these very forums) which we jailbroke to unlock it for use on O2. I recently updated the software and rejailbroke but we didn't have a Vodafone sim card for activation through iTunes, so had to drive to a local corner shop to buy a PAYG one!

Sim-free is as Randicoot says, you just eject the sim card tray using a pin or paperclip etc and whack in any sim card of your choice and away you go. You may not get Visual Voicemail (random access voicemail) but that holds true for most PAYG deals I believe.
