Consider getting Snow Leopard if your Mac is up to speed. I think it's around ?20 or so on Amazon.

Advice taken. Just doing a very long update now. My Mac can only just handle it... More upgrading for me.

Phone activation went wrong at 02's end but is now sorted. Just need to get all my files back after the SL update.

My good lady has just such a MacBook. With 2 GB of RAM it will run Snow Leopard no bother.
Give it a tidy up with Monolingual to get rid of all the PPC stuff and language packs as well for added snappiness.

Just bit the bullet and ordered an iphone 4, ?510 from apple, after i lost my 3gs new years eve, a lot of money, but my contract is due an upgrade in june so can get another phone then and sell it on, hopefully get most of it back, and it's getting insured for loss this time

I'm thinking of doing something similar, I promised the mrs one so I'm trying to work out whether to go contract from Tecso for 25 per month and the phone at 300 odd or just do the above and get a PAYG.

The Tesco comes with 1GB data a month, is that really enough? I can imagine she'll use virtually no calls, loads of texts and be shopping on it all day long so sounds like not a bad idea, anyone have this already?

That's the thing I was in a vodafone shop yesterday before I ordered this new one and he said he'd heard there may be a new one around June, which is perfect timing as i'll be due an upgrade on my current contract then, it wouldn't surprise me if it was just the release of the white version as no-one seems to know when that is.

And cheers for the insurance link Womble, had been looking at that protectyourbubble website and they're pretty similar pricewise, will look into the finer details between the two, and no i'm not covered under home contents i'm told, it's not me that deals with that.

Nah it'll be a new iPhone, not just a white one. Apple won't deviate from their yearly updates to their iDevices any time soon...if you're due an upgrade anyway then though, ride on

I'm hoping the new one will just be an improved model like the 3GS was over the 3G. Having skipped the iPhone 4 due to waiting for the white one that never came a white 'iPhone 4GS' in July would suit me just fine

Got my new iphone4 this morning, went straight on charge before using and just waiting for the micro-sim to activate, how long do ya reckon a good first charge should take? i know it's the done thing with any new gadget and was thinking 8 hours. As with any new toy/gadget, can't wait to start using it, been using a really old nokia for the past month, I want my apps back!
