Jailbroke my phone last night as my Orange contract was up (10 years of working for them and basically having a free phone is up in smoke).

Cor blimey is all I can say... Lots of stuff to tinker with now - and the fact that everything still works like it did (for the moment) is belting...

I finally upgraded my iPhone to 5.01 now that they sorted out the jailbreak for it. What a ****ing jock it was with the WiFi issue. Apple doing **** all to fix it as well. I know it's not the jail break that was causing the WiFi to drop out since many Apple fan-boys were having the same issues and those guys never jailbreak because everything Apple does is everything you need. Anyway, strangely, 1 week later it seems to have fixed it's self. Can Apple send out fixes over the network without notifying anyone? I know Google killed a few nasty Android virus that way.

Foxconn have been hiring staff which has led to speculation of a June release for iPhone 5.

I don't know why there's even much fuss made these days about such rumours, Apple is phenomenally predictable with these release these days. Of course iPhone 5's out soon.

But no one knows whether it'll be June or September/October!!!1

            lol

But seriously roll on the iPhone 5, my 4 is feeling long in the tooth at nearly 2 years old.

I need a stylus suitable for iphone 4. Any recommendations? Currys had a wacom for ?25 9too expensive) and a properta for ?15 (looked too **** for ?15).

The Wacom is supposed to be the Rolls Royce of styluses because of its finer nib. Indeed, they are quite dear but ?25 seems to be cheaper than even Amazon!

A lot of the Apple fans I know skipped the 4S so I'm expecting 5 to be the big one even if it doesn't end up offering much advancement. Ideally it would be though, there's better phones out there at the moment.

                    Hello iPhone people!

I'm trying to set up the Boss' iPhone to work with calendars.

I've got it syncing, but he only wants the things he puts into it to show up. He hates it when other people put things into his diary and it's busy enough without them.

When he plugs it into the PC, all the things he's put into the phone should then be added to the Outlook calendar, but the Outlook ones should either:
                    - not go into the iPhone,
                    or
                    - they go into a separate calendar (you can have multiple on an iPhone).

All the Outlook dates go currently into the main calendar, but if I move something on the iPhone to a different calendar (e.g. "work" or "home") it then disappears from the Outlook calendar.

Does this make sense? Can *anybody* help me, as I find people with the same issue, but no resolution!

Apple Wifi is a pooper. Not sure how they do it but we have massive issues with it on ipads at work all the time. e.g switching wifi networks to a different one that is advertised from the same AP.

I doubt anybody knows the answer though.

My IT team won't even let me use my iPhone for work emails... It is full of fail. FOF

lol I'm half of the IT dept at my work and I use my iPhone as my work phone. Blackberries are our work phones as per the policy but I can't stand them.

I tell you how I do mine with my Iphone and my work email.

I have google calender as my default calender on my iphone (you need a gmail address to set it up)

then on my work laptop I have google calender sync which is just a tiny taskbar icon in the corner.

When I put something into my Iphone it then goes to my google calender and the google calender sync puts the calender stuff into my outlook when my laptop is turned on, it works really well for me.

This method doesn't require any pluggin in at all, as long as the PC has internet access it will sync with the phone via "the cloud"

You can set it to do a 1-way sync, so only things he enters on his phone will go into his outlook calender, or you can set it to go both ways, so that any changes made to his outlook calender show up on the Iphone (appointments other people make inc.)

Because it is then in my outlook calender, it also then goes through to my blackberry, which is ****e so I hate trying to type in appointments.
