I'm upgrading from a 3G so I'm pretty stoked by the new hardware but I understand the disappointment.

So long as you're happy with the form of the 4s over the 3 (I personally wasn't, it feels cold and sharp to me!) then you'll be well impressed. I've got a 3gs and had a play with a 4 at the w'end which was way faster. I imagine the step from a 3 to 4s will be quite something .

Was thinking of doing the same thing myself, but they're only offering ?266 (16gb, online), could get ?300 on ebay even if it's in not the greatest condition, my only problem is i've never sold on ebay, only bought a couple of things so am a bit wary of using it.

iCloud is already up, just no iTunes match yet.

o2 are offering the 4s free to existing customers on a ?36 a month contract (?42 if you want data, which you obviously will).

Has everyone seen how the voice control stuff works? This video is pretty good:

@ Boris, I've got iTunes 10.5 (141), understanda all the cloud stuff it seems. iCloud not showing photos and stuff though? I don't think iCloud is ready yet.

I just posted similar problem in the iPhone games and apps thread. Must be active yet then on the PC side maybe. iCloud settings show that I have uploaded 1.7Gb of data though, most of it being photos.

Was in O2 store there and the girl said I'd pretty much get near enough ?266 for it. It's got a few nicks and scratches but would hardly make a big difference. I'd be more willing to do that than sell on eBay probably. Would hopefully be a lot less hassle. Although they send the phone away and you get your money within a few weeks which isn't great.

Selling an iphone on ebay works like this:

You sell phone
Buyer pays paypal
Your money sits in paypal until either the buyer gives positive feedback or 2 weeks expire without them complaining, whichever occurs first
Then you can withdraw your money

I speak form experience. Outrageous.

Is that iOS5 supposed to be on regular iTunes yet? Is it today? I mean, I know today is today but is iOS5 supposed to be out today?

Infact I can't upgrade until 24th November anyway I'll have to wait until then to sell it.

Find my iPhone is pretty cool. Even for when you just lose the phone in your house and it plays a crazy loud siren noise when you send it a message.

Yeah, DT, it's on iTunes today. I downloaded the update for the Facebook app yesterday and my phone crashed and died. Apparently happened to a lot of people yesterday. Couldn't recover it which I'm raging about as I hadn't backed up for 5 months so lost hundreds of data, pictures, messages, etc. But just waited til this morning and restored it using iOS5.
