    Sky are just ridiculous.

It makes me chuckle that they used to have all this exclusive content on Sky one, but now that they have Sky-One on Virgin, they've set up Sky Atlantic to show all of the best content on. Even if it's not american!

So now Gamestation have gone and we are getting the "best of both stores" under the Game banner.

Last friday I bought Forza Horizon on release day, got a voucher with it saying I would get ?33 trade in by Nov 1st. So I cant be bothered to go in yesterday and expected it to have dropped to around the ?25 quid mark today, but what was it they offered?

?14.50! I had to ask the woman to say it again....get an extra ?5 if you buy a points card was the "bonus"...

One thats more for the smile thread...the guy at the next til saw me take it back off her and offered me ?25 quid for it while he was still being served

Looks like I have to faff around with online buying and selling now as I wont buy from Blockbuster and HMV usually as they are unsealed and still want to move games on fast!
All you need to do in that scenario is whip out your phone, get cex or hmv prices on screen and ask them to match it (trade not cash), they'll beat it by ?1 providing it's not more than they sell it at (unlikely ha), also bear in mind that christmas temps are just starting, so might not be quick minded (not saying their thick, just don't know the ins and outs yet) enough to know to do more than just offer you what it scans at to not lose your custom.

Also, to add to the current grammar nazi trend, and i know mine isn't perfect but i try, one particular thing that gets on my tits is people using the word defiantly when they mean definitely.

Semicolons are a bit tricky. You can use it to link two closely related statements that need more than a comma to separate and less than a full stop.
Yeah, that's what I've been taught. And therefore the semicolon isn't that hard to use, and subsequently not as useless as one might think.

I'm stood in a queue in Morrisways where despite bragging that they've now got more tills, only roughly half of them are staffed.

Getting really sick of management crackdowns at my current job, so I updated my CV and wrote out a covering letter for a new one last week- ideal on the face of it, as I could stay at home on weekends and carry on with university during the week. Had another crap weekend at work but felt more optimistic about getting out of there and being able to have lunch with my wife on Saturdays.

Just checked the site where I saw the job and they've removed all references to vacancies for that department, including what I'd applied for. So, another crappy, stressful Christmas in retail, then.

Postal ballot forms. They have an internal envelope where you put your vote and you put this in the second envelope which goes in the post. You're supposed to seal the inner envelope by 'moistening' a strip and pressing it down. The strip doesn't seal! I hope they count my vote.

Isn't this a problem with the Internet in general? This forum could be a lot worse.

When it's a block of text with hardly any punctuation and a lot of words that merely sound like what the poster probably intended, I object. Also when words are just shoved in one after the other in a seemingly nonsensical order.

That is all. I'm not saying everyone needs to get the apostrophe rules right every time (although this would also be preferable for my blood pressure).

This forum is actually very good for that. There are only a couple of offenders, for whom I can only assume English is a second language (I don't even want to begin to consider that it isn't). Other than that, the only thing that is a consistent wind up on here is the prolific use of 'of' as a verb. "I would of..." Yes, I'll stop you there.

I mean if you think about the phrase 'would of', it doesn't actually make any sense.
