can't ever get youtube to play anything on mine unless I leave it for half an hour and come back, odd as a I have good wifi reception and its nice and zippy otherwise. read I'm not alone in several places

is 4.2 on the snide as just checked itunes and 3.2 is still the official build for me ?

Yup, you have to download it and apply it manually. its still a beta so a couple of bugs, but works really well, trust me you won't want to see 3.2 again

Yes, just shift click on the upgrade button in itunes, point the file dialog to the 4.2 beta 2 .ipsw file, and click ok, it'll then upgrade to it just as normal and you'll be running 4.2 beta 2 without registering. works fine

Dungeon Hunter HD looks nice, Words With Friends HD is a must. I really really love the National Geographic app, you will get a free issue when you download the app. I'll be taking out a subscription asap.

I'd download words with friends proper version if it wasn't so ridiculous on its dictionaries, if it was like scrabble with a normal english dictionary I'd own it already.

I really enjoying Arkanoid on the iPad. It's a tarted up port of the original arcade game and it plays very well. Controls are handled by an area below the action like the Cave shooters.
Some people would no doubt complain its a bit pricey but I think it's well worth it.

Hmm, my iPad dosent always charge to 100%, it sometimes stops at around 97% or 98%. A bit of googling seems to suggest this might be normal, something to do with preserving the lifespan of the battery or something. Anyone else experience this?

I picked up Mirrors Edge from the sale. I also got Reckless Racing (which is great) and Age of Zombies, which I'm really enjoying.


If anyone fancies some online races in Reckless Racing then let me know.

Has anyone played C&C on the iPad? I'm tempted to buy it but the reviews are pish.

I had some spare credit so thought sod it and bought it anyway - £1.79 ehhh, tempted to get reckless racing mind you. hmm.

edit: eh just bought it. funny how I spent all my £15 credit on games mmh
