I couldn't get hold of the cheap sleeve at John Lewis so I went for the official Apple case. Happy with the choice

X-gear folio does look nice. I shall wait the for Apple case to annoy/fail though. Only problem I've seen with the Apple case is it can get dusty, though my experience is mainly because of Gordon in the office who is a bit of a crumbly/dusty person.

I have to wait for my ipad to return, wonder if it'll be the same one with a new screen fitted, or a mint refurb.. hmmh.

I got an iPad for Christmas with a Knomo leather case. The remote app is excellent on the iPad so much nicer than the iPhone version.

A new wireless hub that came with my upgrade to 50mb virgin cable seems to have resolved my issues streaming YouTube vids on the iPad, had the bandwidth before at 20mb but the belkin router seemed to be causing problems.

Shame the new hub hasn't resolved my old issue that the wireless n xbox adaptor still won't work and gives me mtu errors.

Just collected my iPad today, I took it in on the 29th and it was ready today - great service! its totally brand new also. So chuffed.

Apart from having to restore it now, ugh.

I'm so impressed with TuneIn radio for only 59p, it's a very slick app that offers thousands of radio streams from all over the world, wish I'd got it before as is a universal app which is perfect on iPhone and offers some nice extra benefits on the pad, particularly like how it saves a trail of songs played.

Also splashed out on world of goo which I loved on pc but feels perfect on the touch screen.

Any apps which tell you what speed your wifi is connected at? I just got a -N band wifi access point and would like to see.

Speedtest.net has a free app (your question got me wondering so googled it)

I'm seeing 10mb thru wifi to the iPad on a 50mb connection, dunno how good that is but seems pretty snappy. Should I be losing that much from the router ?

Did a 2nd test and got 15mb.

yeah, thats testing the internet though really, I want to test the wifi connection to my access point specifically.

as per merf, love TuneIn Radio. I do a fair bit of middle of the night running / walking / rambling - this is usually done late Saturday so i can listen to the football out her in Japan and TuneIn Radio is a great companion for that (though i do it on the iphone obviously not the Ipad)

No, the interface is clunky and its just a load of pdf scans which aren't that great to read. Apps like National Geographic make you realise how badly made the Games TM and Retro Gamer apps are.

Yeah the reviews mention that, was wondering how bad that was in practice, I'll download an issue and see what's what I think.
