iPad thread!

The iPad mini is going to sell like crazy this Xmas. It does make the iPod touch seem overpriced, coming in as it does at 249 to the iPad mini's 269.

I feel like Apple's product lines are getting way overcomplicated. Steve would never have let this happen!

The 4th generation iPad is a pretty minor bump really, it's more like a 3.5. It's gone from the A5X processor (an enhanced version of the iPhone 4S processor, with extra VRAM) to the A6X (iPhone 5 processor with extra VRAM). And it's got a Lightning connector instead of a dock connector. That's it really. Same form factor for the third time running.

Joe do you mean to say that you don't use a Sony tablet?!! At least tell me you have an Xperia phone.

I sold my Sony Tablet, and now I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad 3. I even have an iMac too. I had a borrow of a 4s for the past 6 months, and I got on with its ease of use etc. Then Vodafone said I could have the pair of them for stupid money a month. Now I've gotta two get new iPad's. Damn.

At least you got to talk to someone, I went into the Apple store the other day to buy an adapter and they said in order to pay I had to go and visiting 1 guy who had the PDQ machine, alternatively I could download the Apple Store app.

The guy was talking and talking and talking to some old man who looked like he had no interest in doing anything except talking, so I downloaded the app , well I tried to download the app, but there was no signal.
Logged onto the wifi and downloaded it.

Couldn't work out how to pay, almost ended up buying something from apple.com instead. Finally figured it out and I had to shove said adapter in my bag. weird.

This all over. Apple don't even need to do much to sell now. The Nexus has been reported to be a fantastic unit by so many people yet the sheep lap up the Apple stuff.

I have an IPhone 5 but I use a Nexus 7 for tablet needs and they are certainly as good as an iPad half the price too, a bitch to get a good case for though

Good to hear. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with Apple stuff but to buy every upgrade going which I know many do is nuts.

I buy the phones and iPods purely because I have invested too much in music in iTunes (well that and I do like the structure of the music player of iOS which for that purpose can't be beaten imo)
