Yeah it is pretty lame, it's just unfortunate for him that it's so trendy on gaming forums to take pot shots at Microsoft and Lionhead. Particularly here when we have a few very vocal Sony Fanboys who are the main culprits for it.

It's not wrong to have a preference for a particular console or manufacturer, but I don't know why people bother trying to act like they are giving an impartial opinion, when in fact we know they are completely biased anyway.
I used to do it 5 or 6 years ago and I realise what I twat I was being at times.

I don't want to be a mod because you're damned if you do and damned if you don't!

It must be pretty frustrating, he will know more than most of us will ever know about the industry. Both from reading what we all get to read and seeing everything that happens on the inside and doesn't get posted on Kotaku.
People were actually quite personal on several occasions, commenting that his view was clearly biased because of who he worked for and suggesting he was actually just regurgitating the company line.
People would still argue with him despite his posts actually being far more informed. People jump to all manner of conclusions all the time.
Not only that but he would often make a really valid informed point and people would be posting their ill informed hysterical posts all around it and choose to ignore him.
I see it in my own job. I have to train staff in external retail positions about my companies products, most of the time they have already formed an opinion, it is almost always often based upon inaccuracies, misinformation and misunderstanding. Not only are they often hilariously wrong in what they think/say, but I can't reinforce just how wrong they are because there are often NDAs in place or I just have a certain amount of professional integrity I have to uphold.

All good stuff. And yet none of which nullifies any other viewpoint or makes any other view less valuable, which I guess is why it was handled how it was handled and Flabio's decision was his own. Coming at it from a whole other industry, that 'vocal minority' or negativity has to be seen for what it really is - feedback. It may well be ill-informed feedback but it's feedback nonetheless. The difficulty for someone in the industry here is that they're probably not coming here for feedback. They're likely coming here to just chat about games and stuff. So I guess it then feels personal when that chat turns to a game you're involved in.
But that doesn't mean discussion should be stifled in case someone who made it might be reading.
So his decision was his own but maybe he should have just made use of the ignore function.

Capcom it was me that maybe broke the camel's back for Flabio's, but he seemed to get riled up pretty easily, and i wasn't or didn't attack him personally, only commented on his boss, if he works in a creative industry he's got to expect some criticism as well as praise, to me he needs thicker skin, so Flabio if your reading maybe you feel you can come back sometime, i enjoyed your posts and insight.
