Google Nexus 7 tablet - anyone tempted?

Has anyone else received notification that this has been despatched yet? I just had an email from Ebuyer telling me it has been sent. I didn't think they were released until the 19th.
I shall see what happens tomorrow...I am keeping my fingers cross for an early delivery though!

Does the lack of 3g bother anyone?

Excuse any mistakes!

Lack of 3g doesn't bother me personally as I always have my mobile phone on my which I tether to various devices. I can't be having with multiple contracts.

I've preordered through ebuyer. Annoyingly their preorder page says there are 500 units remaining and yet as soon as I ordered I received an automatic response saying there were stock issues. Not sure if this is a standard thing with preoders or not...

I preordered mine through Ebuyer matey and it arrived fine, the 500 units thing was purely a placeholder when I ordered mine. I actually sent a note to them asking if I would be included in that 500 and they informed me that they would be receiving enough units to cover the preorders.
I can't help but think they have received a slap on the wrist from Google for shipping them out a week early!

Yeah I think so too, noticed elsewhere on the page it says August 3rd. I imagine loads of people preordered when news broke of ebuyer selling early so i'm probably way down the list!

Has there been any word from Google on how many units they have? I wonder if even they can match the demand...
