^Crap, innit? Jumbo's probably still the best in Leeds but it's more about tickets n' t-shirts these days. I always lamented the passing of The Polar Bear down the Grand Arcade, that was such a sweet music shop.

Tell you what, there's a guy who does a CD stall on Wakefield outdoor market, think he's there Tuesdays and Saturdays - he gets some proper good stuff in and can get hold of some quality stuff if you have a word, he's been going years and he's a cool bloke.

Leeds hmv is a shell of its former self angry bird toys and gadget tat everywhere, with most of the shop given over to cheap looking sound docks and overpriced headphones (the mirrors in front of the headphones made me laugh) and the sound docks area constantly blaring a mishmash of music on teenagers phones really wasn't thought out well

We found the cd's, they were upstairs in a little corner of the shop that used to be for classical music we didn't buy any because no one buys cds anymore. hmv doesn't really know what it is anymore its certainly not a music shop its more a hybrid of game/firebox/and currys/ rolled into one.

Tomorrow's the last day of our ALT training so the company took a bunch of people out to an izakaya with all you can drink. Lot of drunk guys about trying to hit on the girls when they got back to the training centre. I didn't go but got to sit through that aftermath. I never thought "fancy going to 7-11?" was a chat up line.

Drunk men almost always irk me in some way.

Oh, god, it seems to be a headphone shop now, all "Beats By Dr. Dre" and stuff, or an inferior version of The Works, what with all the cheapish but not quite cheap enough books. One thing it does have is a decent DVD selection, I'll give it that...although it now sells pre-owned stuff, usually stuff you can get down the market for a quid. Sad but it's very rarely bustling anymore, just lots of kids sitting in those seats near the gaming area. It's gotta be going down the pan, surely, especially with CEX being a stone's throw away?

I will say that you can occasionally get a good deal on niche gaming stuff, got a very neat Hori PS3 arcade stick for peanuts a few months back.

But seriously, I was told one of the guys forced himself onto one of the girls but she managed to slip out from under him. Another one was shouting oyasumi at random high school girls also staying at the centre. Someone else threw up all over the place and one of the guys I'm sharing a room with snuck out and the staff had to go searching for him which meant I kept getting woken up every few hours for questioning.

So yeah, irk still stands

We were smashed one night and my mate was completely out of it. I found him outside chatting to some Danish girl. He was such a mess the conversation literally was him listing as many Danish footballers and teams he could think of. I rescued the poor girl and took her home in a cab as her mate didn't turn up. Unfortunately I also had to get my mate home.

i dunno if i am the only one but i have a rule never phone someone before 9am and after 10pm is that normal ? just irks me when people call late or early

I do both, but for calling I'm careful if it's a land line

I tend not to call during tea time (6-8pm). There's nothing worse than getting interrupted as you take your first bite.

Actually, I only ever used land lines when calling my grand parents. For everyone else there's nothing that a simple SMS won't address.
