Watching HMS QE being named today was a lovely sight and illustrious was there on her stbd beam, which is an invincible class aircraft carrier ( through deck cruiser ) and a type of ship I've served on, I was the comms director on ark royal

I thought invincible class were big and sometimes a nightmare to get somewhere quickly but seeing how small it is compared with QE is a sight, QE is 3 times bigger and quite impressive

Seems like they will have to remove her artisan radar to get her under the forth road bridge

All this a year to the day I left the service

I'm at the driving test centre trying to get my Japanese licence.

The procedure should be just filling in forms, then an eye test and possibly a grilling about 3-point turns and stuff.

I'm posting in here for now because the outcome will decide whether the experience was smile or irk-worthy
