Not really grammer though is it in many places? Just remembering the stupid names for bits of centences.....

Bad grammar generally doesn't bother me with the exception of people who use apostrophes for every plural. I see it all the time on forums. If you don't know where apostrophes go, just don't use them. It looks far less stupid.

In my daughter's book that she brought home from school today for homework (she's 4), it happily started a sentence with "And ", so it looks like that rule's out of the window now.

I seem to recall being taught that you couldn't do that either. However i think its ok now hmm. And I for one, welcome the new world order.

Best to disregard everything we learnt at school if you're approaching 30+-, QI pretty much dispels it as all bull**** routinely every week
