My AMP doesn't have it either. I don't mind stereo at least, the main issue is the tinny sound from the speakers on the TV. I might just have to go AV from the headphone socket. :-/

Gave my Day one copies of Tales of Graces f and Xillia to my cousin to get signed at London comic con when I thought I couldn't go. Told him I'd be going and he can leave them for me to get signed, he still got them signed and just gave them back to me, tatty as hell and the signatures are partially smudged off... feel to throw them away and search for new D1s on ebay.
