Finding a good reliable gardener can be a nightmare, we always ended up having to tell them exactly what to do over and over again. Do it all ourselves now. And just invested in a green wheelie bin from the council, is collected once a fortnight for ?35 annually, saves me loads of trips to the tip.

Sounds like what happened when my Mum wanted the aerial sorted. Bloke did absolutely nothing and she paid him. Logic.

My mum, being the philanthropic type, usually agrees to let less fortunate gardeners do our garden. Works well. Never had a problem with any of them or their work.

Shaffy: have you tried Rated People? I used them in the UK to find handymen for different things. You can leave reviews for the work done and rate them out of five for things like quality of work, estimate accuracy and so on.

My wife was watching one born every minute and this Mormon guy said this:-

I just want my child to grow up thinking he does not need to be part of the crowd, he can walk his own path and make his own decisions. He does not have to follow everyone else.

That is a wise point of view if you did not enforce your religion on him, therefore making him one of 'the crowd' and walk down a path of which he will be frowned upon should he stray. Can he 100% make his own decisions when he has to follow scripture? doubt it.

Forum members changing their usernames. So annoying. And I don't know if this is new (I think it is), but you can't search more than 7 pages of a user's posts (including your own), so it's not possible to find out who a user was, or look through you old posts.

Irk of the day are farmers fertilising every square millimiter of grass, even the one in front of our office. Weather isn't particularly warm, but warm enough to heat up the office past comfortable levels in a minute. And with windows open you smell everything. Ugh.

Charles should implement a feature where if someone changes their username it should say previously known as & then their old name somewhere in their profile so people know who is who as i have lost all track of who everyone is that has changed names.
