The curling at Sochi is pretty nice to watch. Especially since I'd happily bang yon Eve Muirhead lassie. Jings!

If it has a CeX mod sticker then it won't be. If it has a CeX warranty void sticker then it's possible...

It has a warranty sticker on the bottom, but also one on the lid. Also had some awful rotary switch thing that I found you dissing in a thread from 2004!
I've just finished connecting pin 79 to 5v, bridging JP6 to 5V and JP9, JP11 and JP13 to GND as well as swapping composite sync on the 9th AV port pin for 9V so it works properly with my official PAL leads.
Just have to replace a blown component on the PSU and a new fuse and all shall be reverted!Last edited by speedlolita; 19-02-2014, 22:58.

Ok no, definitely not mine! The ones I did were single-switch mods using an L7404 chip or something.
Sounds like yours is a Japanese machine.
Interesting side note: back before CeX stopped selling retro I made a pretty penny buying their UK Saturns at ?20-odd a pop, modding them to JP/PAL60 and selling back as Japanese machines. I explained the mod to their buying department who gave it the OK(especially after I explained the scart lead voltage situation. Some staff even bought them for themselves! I'd make about ?20 cash on each one, or a ?30 voucher. Fun times

Yeah definitely Japanese. Auction here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331115295030
I had to do the voltage mod before I could resell the white Saturn I bought recently. Previous owner had only ever used it with an XRGB which isn't affected by the port differences. Was pretty annoying.
