I drove one earlier in the year, really liked it, and far too few on the road/for sale on Autotrader.

How does it compare to the Elise if anyone has driven both.

From reviews I seem to remember it's different - a bit bigger, more powerful, less nimble, but otherwise similar idea.

Depends on the Elise, my friend has a 111R and we occasionally take them out for a drive and swap for the drive home.

The elise interior is much nicer, i don't think anyone could whole heartedly say they prefer the dash on the VX. The Elise felt a lot lighter to drive, his is a 2006 ( i think ) which had power steering, added to not being as heavy as the turbo it felt a bit more nimble. It's power delivery felt way different though. You really had to make it scream and stay in gear longer where as the VX went through the rev range a lot smoother and didn't feel like it was being worked as hard.

Over all though, you feel very at home when you swap seats. It's familiar but different.

Also to note, if you ever get to drive one don't do what I did after not driving it for two months and forget how to start it. there's a push button start, I sat there for at least 5 minutes like a complete bell end trying to work out why it wouldn't turn over !

Thanks for the info, always have my eyes on these cars but family wise, just not practical for probably another couple of years sadly.

Anybody see the Veteran's invitational doubles at Wimbledon tonight? There were trick shots galore and it was really funny throughout.

Yep we watched it - my son was wetting himself at it. Always worth watching those matches..

Yeah always love the oldies showing the quality they still have whilst giving the crowd a treat.
Henri laconte was funny but as always Mansour bahrami is a joy to watch. So much talent

                      Look away now Charles!

Last night's dinner, impressive percentages, not quite the magical 100% mark but as close as you'll get

Someone missed out on one of those Rose Colored Gaming SNES/SFC GBAs and the results were... well. Look away now if ridiculously entitled consumer behaviour angers you but I love seeing people like that just losing it when they don't get their own way.

I want to fry it and then eat it.

Off to stampede today. May post some pictures later.

UPS with normal plug sockets on it - just had a powercut during a thunder storm for about 30 seconds.
Things that carried on as normal:
                              Router (internet)
Vodafone Suresignal (Lucy was on the phone using this - sends mobile calls over the internet)
                              My PC
                              My monitor

One of those Indian meal for two things in a bag from Tesco or Asda, but was an upmarket one as it had about four side dishes in too, hence the jump in fat etc. Scary figures though for a curry, half portion of rice, small nan bread and a couple of small sides each.
