Highlight of that video was the girl flashing her knickers at three seconds in

My own double standards. I'm too used to kicking homeless out of the hotel but today we had a girl who probably wasn't even 17 sleeping on the mezzanine. I woke her up the usual way but she was shaking too much and obviously was on something. She told me she had only been drinking but I'm sure that's not the truth. Generally my rule is: get out. I have to stick to that because people have taken advantage of my good-hearted nature in the past. This one was still a child. I got her a bottle of water and a hot tea, we called her mother to come and pick her up. I did have a blanket on the way as she was still shivering after being inside the hotel for over an hour, but her mother got here quickly enough that it wasn't needed.

And I hate people calling me sir.
Do you work at the Fairmont?

Posh hotel but they have issues with homeless, lots of them on that stretch of 1 st around the corner

The way people say 'sir' here is only to be condescending. I hate it as well.

Small irk, forgot to put belt on this morning and trousers seem to have stretched in 90 minutes. Always wear a belt even if one isn't needed, don't tuck shirt in by the way, being in an office the same temperature as the Bahama's rules that out.

Having to wait till next Tuesday for a doctors appointment...

          Comment

That whole doctor appointment thing is weird. At mine, you ring at 8.45:
"Can I see a doctor today please?"
"there's nothing left for the rest of the day"
            "But you only just opened?"
            "Yes"
"Can I book for tomorrow please?"
"No, you'll have to phone back tomorrow"
"When do I need to phone to ensure getting an appointment?"
            "Try at 8.30"

            Next day:
            Ring at 8.30
            Engaged till 8.45
Return to top of this post
In the end, I just phoned at the weekend and got an out of hours appointment at the hospital - much easier.
It may have improved in the last couple of years, but I haven't needed to see a doctor for a while.

The Tuesday appointment I got was a cancellation otherwise I'd have waited till Friday... I requested a specific doctor but usually it's a weeks wait either way. With 6 GPs you'd think there wouldn't be such a wait.

I'd have just filed for a repeat prescription but he specifically asked me to go in and see him again, plus I wouldn't be able to pick up the repeat till Tuesday anyway. My fault I guess, should've booked the appointment earlier and not attempted it the day I needed it.

Someone parked themselves down the side of Lucy's car a few weeks ago. Rear bumper, wheel, and 2 panels need repairing.
It was at the back of the bank and they left a note with the car numberplate and insurance details and name.
                Which was nice.

Irk: Claims handler got back to us today: The number plate was from a courtesy car, from a garage based 260 miles away and was returned to them without damage on that day and was not being used by the specified name, and the insurance details do not lead to a valid policy. So looks like they were just leaving a note because someone must have seen them do it....

Oh well, was considering getting all the wheels resprayed anyway.

                  Gutting.

Found out it was a tail-lift big van that reversed in to my car the other week, got no number plate or company name etc. But at least I know where it happened and by who - for what it's worth.

So did they just leave details of a random car? I don't get it. So is there no one who gets the blame?

I'm at the Sheraton by Eau Claire (technically run by Fairmont as well), so we tend to have some of the passing homeless coming from Prince's Island Park/Bow River walk. With the weather on the verge of changing I'm expecting more issues in the coming weeks.

It's not how people say it, I just generally don't like the word.

Not sure if you were replying to me or VR46. If to me then yes, random reg and stuff.

Is that toilet on the main floor one of the issues? It's open to all and seems easy to sneak into without being seen by staff as well using that south entrance

I used to be at that hotel a lot for work, and more often than not that toilet had homeless in it, sometimes bathing at the sink.

It's too bad about the mall being torn down, it has a 90s vivbe to it I quite like. But then it is very dead.

I work overnight so the first thing I do is lock the south entrance, then the northern doors once the lounge has closed. I head people off at the front doors before they get into the building majority of the time.

You can never quite know who is a guest and who isn't, which is the problem.

Some human trash have shot a solider at the war memorial in Ottawa and then let off 30 shots inside actual Parliament

There was another savage who hit and run two soldiers in Quebec

I swear these murderers are the worst of humanity, they achieve nothing, demonize all muslims, kill innocents, and are savages cheerleading savages too stupid to realize them and their ideologies were crafted by their leaders for them when puppeted by the US.

it's hard not to wonder who the hell they actually are sometimes.

i hate these people and the suffering they cause.
