I posted a comment in a thread earlier which I'll repeat below, it's had me chuckling through a mix of nostalgia and embarrassment which I seemed to mentally repress until this morning hahah

Always fond memories as it straddled that line between gaming mag and lads razz mag constantly.

Infact, I once was reading an issue in school during a library reading time, and the teacher thought I was reading a porn mag and confiscated it- just because it had a CG Lara Croft on the front. Sadly when I tried to tell her it was a PS1 mag (teachers weren't as aware of gaming as they are now at this point) she didn't believe me as the page she turned too happened to have a heavily cleavaged model posing with a GCon gun...

She always thought I was a perv after that. Even had other teachers coming up and asking me about it as she was spreading the word to teachers that I was a little masturbating at school twat.

The funny thing was, exactly the same thing happened again with exactly the same teacher at the end of an exam when we were told we could read if we were done. I always remember her "oh not again..."

PMSL, the Edge magzine crotch shot issue from dead or alive volley ball got me some strange looks from my sister in law "it's a high brow gaming magazine honest its not some pervy lads mag" , wasnt it gamesTM that used to run porn ads in the back filthy sods.

"Personal ads" they're known as in the publishing trade Lebowski. And they bring in lots of revenue, so whilst most publishers don't like to carry them it's difficuly to refuse the money for them sadly. A few have put morals above bottom line though and binned them off in the last few years.

1 all quizzes, a midterm and a 2 hour final worth 40%
1 a mix of both.

Late to the party but I just charged my Japanese PSN account with Y1000 by paying using my Docomo account. That was nice. No need to go to a convenience store or whatever, and they don't do card less than Y3000.

PS1 Crash Bandicoot paid for, ready to play this evening. Cost me Y617. A used copy from Tsutaya, etc, would be Y950.

Honestly, I had no idea Fable or Project Ego was going to be on Dreamcast!

I played Black & White on a Dreamcast Dev Kit, saw one of the final builds of BC on Xbox and was responsible for giving design and test feedback on a version of Black & White on Nintendo DS (And I think PSP) but that never came to anything. When I started at Lionhead, I begun on Black & White 2 so it was way after they shipped Fable, but I don't think I ever heard about it starting life on Dreamcast.

I've not read the article but Ted was a great guy who went onto make Fable Heroes and Fable the Journey so he knows what he's talking about in the Fable world. My guess is that Big Blue Box (The original developer of Project Ego before they came to Lionhead) were targeting consoles for the game and the Dreamcast was an option, before Microsoft came knocking. Could be wrong through!
