Reminds me of that douchebag I worked with last year... right after he started with us I had a project to write out sheet music for our songs so that the Japanese teachers could play the piano while we handled the class, which I did, and handed them out to the whole team.

The main difference is that my coworker is not malicious, only...forgetful, as I helped him in softmodding his son's Wii and suggested about used DS and 3DS bundles. I could have gone "3D what?" way, but it would disrespectful toward him.

Most recent example, changing the sync used in an official SMS/MD cable. Instead of cutting a trace, I removed components that would no longer be used. Worked a charm and looks 100% tidier and is reversible.

Now I've got an SMS RGB cable that uses composite video sync and an MD one that uses c-sync!

Importaku's recent Nectar shenanigans lit a bit of a fire under me, and I've been trying to cash out all the loyalty/reward points I accumulate but never seem to spend. I've placed three pre-orders for things and haven't even had to use my card. Aces.

It's that risk factor, weither to keep saving them up but with the risk that at any time they could just revoke everything and you are left with nothing or spend them all and enjoy them. After the recent nectar addition/screwup me & mum decided that it would be more enjoyable to go mad and use them all up while we still have them as it would have been gutting to lose ?600+ in points when we could have spent them, she is now enjoying the delights of a new 42" tv with a rasp pi media centre i set up for her. When i get the other rasp pi set up as a emulation console she'll have plenty to do. Mine was far more low tech, blew my half on trading card sets i have always wanted. Was tempted by games, but the ones i wanted i couldn't use nectar points to get them as they were not on ebay.

Is something happening to nectar? or is it a just in case?

No nectar is fine (as far as i'm aware) it was a "just in case" scenario, the more points you build the more paranoid you get about losing them. Losing ?4 if nectar went poof is not too bad, losing ?600 would hurt a whole lot more. Game has taught me never to totally trust loyalty cards.

In House of Fraser in the Metrocentre. Wow - where to look?!? It was a wall-to-wall WADarama. Simply too much visual stimuli to store in the wanglebank. Frustratingly awesome.
