This dress image.

It's old news, it's not the story behind it that's annoying me. When it originally emerged I saw it as white and gold despite knowing it's blue and black. Cool for a moment but then life went on.

Then the image came up again on a newsites end of year review and I saw it as black and blue.

Now it looks like it changes colour as I'm looking at it between the two colour schemes. What the hell is wrong with my eyes?!

Been ill with headache, throat infection & ear infections for the 2nd Xmas in the last 3. Not happy. Wasted my time off, haven't eaten hardly a thing coz I cant swallow ****. Lost a bit of weight recently due to healthy eating/table tennis but somehow despite only eating a Xmas dinner & 2 or 3 chocs I look fat & bloated again. Life sucks!!

Just found out that a childhood friend was recently prosecuted for possession of child porn images.

They weren't in the most severe category and he didn't go to jail but instead got a 'treatment order'. It's left me with really mixed feelings, disgusted by his behaviour but I can't help but feel sorry for him, he's already had his house and car trashed and has received death threats.

I don't really know how to proceed, everyone I know have turned their backs on him, I'm not sure to offer him support or turn my back as well...

iTunes. Spent a bit of time over xmas consolidating all my music. Basically everything exists on a single laptop in itunes and on a 120gb ipod classic now. After adding all my music to iTunes I asked it to get the album art. It did about half of it, struggling to find the artwork to some of the more obscure albums like Muse's Origin of Symmetry and Michael Jackson's Thriller... WTF!?

Spent 4 hours manually adding all the missing stuff rather than paying for software to do it automatically which would no doubt still have failed to do some of it.

Anyway, all done now and now I just take the ipod everywhere rather than trying to keep it all in sync in different locations.

If he had been convicted of something else, what would you do? Murder. Stealing. etc.

Looking at it is rather different from engaging in it. Still pretty twisted and the impact of supporting the people that create it in the first place cannot be overlooked, but sounds like talking about it would be a good start and then you can gauge from that whether you want to strike him from your life.

I have an album art plugin for squeezebox that searches amazon. It almost never fails.
However, I'm testing something called iBroadcast now - the interface isn't optimal on mobiles yet, but it's pretty good for a freebie. No idea how they expect to make money though... And it has a similar issue with recognising art for my albums. Anyway, it's a streaming music app for your own albums, so depends on interwebs.

Spotify is missing loads and loads of my fave albums, so is only good for new music.

It is missing quite a few of mine too but it has enough to make it worth the sub at least.

I've gotten to the point of not even caring what I listen to. Spotify is perfect for that, I don't even pay the sub. Lol

Vigilantism is hard to stomach. As much as I might feel someone might deserve it it always just feels wrong.

If he's amenable to treatment then it would probably help a lot to have a friend right now. You might be helping save him from going down the same path again and possibly worse. I don't know, I think it's how I'd see it were I in your place.

Just a few things that have been irking me

While watching top gear notice super car makers releasing stripped down versions of cars but actually charging more. And these super fast cars which are essentially engines on a frame and not much more.

On the internet the fact now days you can almost believe nothing you see or read fake images or images taken out of context or stories that are so one sided.

Youtubers that are big and i really do not see how they are and they are so distant from there fans you might aswell be watching tv
