The very fact that an unelected political advisor got his own press conference is alarming, but also useful seeing Cummings dig himself into an even bigger hole.

He basically justified driving to Durham by claiming that his familiy wasn't a threat to any because he didn't think they had Covid-19 and then justified not staying in London by claiming that he could get childcare because it was a risk to others.

Then there was the nonsense about driving to a nice beauty spot with his wife and kid in the car, just make sure his eyesight was safe to drive - you know, the thing a responsible father would do.

Absolutely contemptible little man.
