Actually Jazz we can theorise already.

All the small business that have shut down already? Year there done, no ifs no buts, their not coming back.

All healthy businesses at the moment, if they are ordered to shut down, their done as well, myself included.

Were headed for a depression so bad it will make the 1920’s look like a holiday.


All because of lack of planning by the gov yet again.

Currently sat in a local council office sat closer than 2m to three adjacent colleagues doing a job that not only fails to be "key worker" but is arguably utterly irrelevant at this time (debt collector/finance guy dealing with places that are either shut or have no money). Almost the entire building has gone home and the car park I use is about 5% of the normal capacity. The management insist we are critical. I can work from home and want to. Giving them until the end of the day and then I'm going to take my laptop and work from home even if I don't have permission. I'd rather get sacked than bring this disease back to my folks.

Well Chloe is off at school (Managed to secure her a place on the Key Worker scheme thankfully) & I am starting a rota scheme at work for home working this week & then in the office next week so on & so on, we are trying to keep on as best as possible with what constitutes a normal life as much as possible.

Off into town on my lunch today to grab some bits & pieces & maybe stock up on some cheap games for Chloe so that when the inevitable happens I can entertain her.

Months stuck in doors is going to kill me.
Weekends stuck in is enough for us to be at each others throats so this is going to end up in murder I expect.
Gym closed at the weekend so my usual escape route is now gone.

I honestly can't see this being a good thing & with no one knowing how long they expect us to carry on like this is a joke.
If we had a time frame it would be great, all this uncertainty of 12 weeks is ridiculous

i know your probably just venting but you really need a change of attitude to this your post reads like your looking at all this as a personal inconvenience not something that could get out of hand very fast if not managed properly

The phrase how long is a piece of string comes to mind here, we are dealing with a situation here that nobody knows how it will pan out! all we can do is look to other countries where it has taken hold and try and learn by what their doing/not doing. If this takes hold like it has in Italy our underfunded and run down health service will be overwhelmed.

.gov website has now been updated with info on business loans for business interruptions. Absolute f*****g scum bags, so the gov is giving out “loans” now to support businesses its happy to destroy, when they should be simply paying all expenses outright.

That just proves parliament are absolutely fine with tanking the entire country as long as they are ok.
