My plan is to keep busy. I'm going to write a list of stuff I wanna do and do one a day. We all need to be sure to do exercise too.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chloroqui...4AAOSwc1BeeRez - these listings are cropping up in larger numbers on eBay and much of this can be contributed to Trump claiming it's curing COVID-19
A load of them linking to offsite websites to buy the stuff. I've been reporting such auctions for all the good it does, hopefully they'll get pulled (you can't sell over the counter drugs on eBay since 2019).
Edit - well they've been puilling some of them, which is good.Last edited by MartyG; 23-03-2020, 21:04.

Whilst there are trials underway to see if the drugs Trump claimed are a game changer, they haven't been approved yet and I'm sure I don't need to tell people here that you shouldn't be taking any drugs without the full facts and proper advice and especially not when purchased on eBay.
For the curious, here's some more information on Chloroquine and its potential use against COVID-19 https://www.health.com/condition/inf...ug-coronavirusLast edited by MartyG; 23-03-2020, 21:19.

Mad how the UK went from “it’ll be fine” to dystopian police state lockdown. I mean, it’s great that steps are really being taken but it just feels a bit all over the place. Hopefully this will put a dent in the numbers but it would take a minimum of a couple of weeks I think before anything changes. Interesting that word out of Iceland seemed to be that a significant chunk of people testing positive weren’t even showing symptoms so it’s very likely in just about every country that many carriers are spreading it. That’s why it’s good to isolate regardless of symptoms - it’s the only way to protect the vulnerable and not hammer healthcare resources.
But then I haven’t actually looked at the figures in the last few days for my own sanity so I have no idea if those resources are already being hammered. I might leave it a few more days before I catch up. It can all be a bit much.
Anyway, hope you guys are all doing okay and have what you need. We’ll get through this. I just had ice cream. It was nice.

Bloody bollocks. I was going to nip to B&Q first thing tomorrow to get some emulsion an' all! But...they do sell chocolates in those dispensers by the door - do you think they qualify as a food outlet and can stay open? I can hope...and just remember everyone, the B and Q in B&Q stands for Building Quest!

As of late last night, dentists are to reduce their services to urgent care only in regards to treating pain and swollen faces without creating an aerosol so no drill/ hygienist ultrasonic hand pieces etc.
Spent all day cancelling appointments amongst seeing emergencies and answering the never ending phone calls.
We will be reducing to a skeleton staffing rota, management asked if I can be in the whole of April which I’ve agreed to which they have promised an average full month’s pay if I complete the month even if I don’t work full time days with reduced service. Never know what May will bring so I’m taking the work as it’s still available.
Mother is worried sick, I have my concerns but with reduced staff and patients we will have enough resources to run effectively especially with social distancing in the waiting room. As long as I don’t fall ill it’s another months rent paid.
Believe me if there was an option to be paid to stay at home I’d take it. With my history of care work the NHS might try and get me to help in the hospitals which I really want to avoid.
