Just got back from the UK on Saturday. Turns out I've been incubating covid for a few days. Did a PCR test yesterday, after a positive quick test, as I was feeling ****ty and yes, I have the covids.
As does my wife. The kids are fine, ATM.

We dropped all precautions here, following the UK. But people are still wearing masks as it's a good idea still. Some ****wits are not.

Girlfriend just recovering from Covid. Looks like my daughter has it now. No idea how I've escaped it so far; all my mates I went snowboarding with tested positive the day we got back but not me. They'll probably make a movie about me one day.

Next Saturday is my businesses belated first birthday bash (it’s nearly three now) and I have a sold out event for it next Saturday with 600+ people. I’ve been mega strict through the entire pandemic and I’m not going to lie, as much as I’m looking forward to the day I’m also ****ting my pants at being in a room with that many people. From 0-60 in a finger click.

I worked with my main dentist for 10 hours on Monday who had a random cough that was getting slowly worse by the evening. Had a faint positive test when he got home then has been solid positive for Covid since. I had a sore throat that day (tested negative last 2 days with it) and on Tuesday.

Now having to be tested every day for a week or 10 days whatever my manager says. All these tests are giving me random nose bleeds in the day but apart from that I feel fine now. I hopefully have dodged the Covid bullet again!

We fly to Florida for our delayed proper honeymoon in May which currently you have to have a witnessed test before you go out the day before. Pretty much gonna self isolate all of April and not gonna go near anyone at work without my biggest reusable mask with filters which has rubber that smells like ass now (don't think work will supply new ones)

COVID is over, hasn't stopped me - after two full years of success - catching it. JR2 tested positive at the weekend, Jr3 last night and me this morning. Just the missus and Jr1 negative now, she's stuck with the rest of us so likely to catch it whilst Jr1 is headed to his Nan's till it passes unless he tests for it too. Head feels muzzy like I've just woken up but that's about it across the three of us so far thankfully.

How did it go?

Absolutely brilliant to be honest. A fantastic atmosphere for the whole day, and it was nice to receive multiple messages from customers who had tasted positive so we’re staying away to keep the event safe. Over a week past now and as far as I know it didn’t turn in to a covid hotspot. My wife and I, family and friends have all been testing clear since.
