I used to get about 4-6 hours out of my Game Gear on reasonable batteries. The problem is that back then, you couldn't just go into Poundland and get a decent size pack of usable branded batteries for a quid. Cheap batteries in the 90s were those useless leaky ones where they would rarely even power-on something much more powerful than a TV remote or torch. If you could get a Game Gear to even turn on with those, it would probably be blinking low batteries immediately and then be off in 10 minutes tops.

Been riding the TFL rail trains that got rebranded for some time, but took my first ride on the actual Elizabeth Line last night. Got on at Tottenham Court Road, next stop Paddington! PADDINGTON! In one stop! The new stations are big and very nice, the trains are spacious, and the central part of the line covers a very good (but crucially quite small) selection of stations.
Outside of the zone 1 parts there's still the pain of having to change at Paddington / Liverpool St, but once it's direct all the way through (still slated for '22!) my journeys in/out of town will be so much quicker and more pleasant.

I held my first craft beer festival this year which had been delayed two years due to Covid.(It was meant to celebrate my first year in business) I put tickets on sale for the next one last Thursday, and all 600 have already been snapped up, which is massive for a wee independent shop like me! People had said they loved this years, but I really didn't expect this big a response to the next one.
