An oddly compelling watch, but feel sorry for the guy; seems like the lively sort that'll bounce back, but I'd probably go live in a cave if that happened to me.

That was brilliant, I had never heard of that before. Felt really sorry for the poor bloke.

Brilliant, I kind of wish things like that happened on TV more often instead of the dilge we get on Saturday nights these days. Cilla handles it like a master

I miss her singing her little bit at the start (or was it the end?) of Surprise Surprise.

                      That seems a bit silly.

They just need to be smart. The business was viable the previous time around but they were completely mismanaged to hell and back. It's how Smyths effectively KO'd them. If they plan to follow the same plan as the US arm relaunch it'll be small strategiv stores that can relocate if they become unviable rather than the old super stores that bled money. The advantage they've given Smyths is a big hurdle though

                          Our Apple TV

It’s life-changing and easily eclipses the PS5 I got earlier that week.

Getting ready for work I turn it on, pop my AirPods in and press a button on the remote to connect them(no pairing). I start watching an episode of Rick and Morty while making breakfast in the kitchen. I can change the volume using the iPhone's own volume buttons. I finish breakfast and need to catch the train so I open Netflix on the iPhone and continue the episode on that, tapping an icon to switch the AirPods over.

Wife wants to watch something, too? We can use both our AirPods at the same time(with individual volume controls) and not annoy the neighbours. Need to pause Bake Off but my hands are curried to high heaven? “Hey Siri, pause the video”. Need to log in or enter text? iPhone automatically pops up a text entry screen(which also works with saved passwords) so I don’t need to use the remote.

The various streaming apps(Netflix, etc) are also head and shoulders above their console versions, too. And Plex means my legally ripped divx of Time Trumpet is no more than a few button presses away.

It also has a decent system-wide volume limiter so watching Marvel stuff isn’t a constant faff with the volume control.

Also, this morning I installed Canabalt, Sonic and some other games I bought years ago on my iPhone and I’m using my Series S controller.

I’m happy being a sheep when the grass tastes soooo good.

Yep. I must say I adore my Apple TV. The interface is wonderful and everything seems to work better on it.

Just eaten a perfectly ripened avocado, seasoned with a bit of sea salt and cracked black pepper.
