    First time making Turkish Delight:

Ended up with tons of the stuff.

This is rose flavour, going to try pistachio next, followed by lemon. Might even try lavender after that for the Parma Violets reminisce.

I love the stuff. How easy is it to make?

You don’t need a brain, but lots of elbow grease. The clean up wasn’t too bad either.

        Will share the recipe later.

              Personal amendments:

Once she combines the mixtures she says 45 minutes on a low heat, stirring frequently. I did this, but after the 45 mins were up my mixture hadn't reduced any. Our induction goes 1-9, and I had it on 5 the entire time. I had to whack it up to 7 with occasional pulses of 8/9 for another 20 minutes to get it to darken.

She says 1tsp of rose water, but I'd be tempted to put just a little more in next time maybe - like 20-40% extra. This of course depends on the strength of your flavouring, so don't expect to get it perfect the first time. My batch is delicious regardless. I just tried my first piece and it simply melts in the mouth - never had it so fresh.

Finally found out why i have been so ill for the last few months an end to all this crap finally (fingers crossed). Zero energy, weakness in all my limbs, dizzy, breathless all the time, sleeping 13+ hours a day seems my body has not been holding onto the folic acid again and i started with the onset of anaemia. Been using all my holiday leave to make my work shifts into half days to get through each day & keep getting paid as i can't afford any more time off sick.

Finally i can start feeling normal again i'm hoping this replacement folic acid reverses all the nasty symptoms, trying to walk to & from work to the bus stop was literally killing me i was having to stop every 20 yards to get my breath. It's been disgusting falling asleep way before midnight like a normal person when i usually went to bed around 3am using that extra time for gaming. Not having to try & get more gp appointments & tests is a nice start to my week.

                  Fingers crossed, Importaku!

Had a nice weekend where I popped to Folkestone with the missus to see a band she loves.
(Covid test passes on the door were a welcome requirement!)

Went out for a meal together first and the gig was great fun.

Next day was really nice weather for November and we sat at our fave beach café, drinking coffee and having a bacon, brie and cranberry roll for breakfast, listening to the sea and the sun on our faces.

                      That sounds nice QC.

My smile is that my hand is healing up. I burnt it last week by splashing a decent amount of very hot oil onto it while I was frying fish. Hurt like an absolute bastard while I was waiting in A&E to be seen - it was pretty quiet so I ended up leaning against the wall in the toilet, hand under the cold tap, browsing the forum and Reddit with the other to pass the time.

When I saw the nurse I asked how bad it was and he said it was 'very superficial'. There is something simultaneously reassuring and entirely ungratifying about that

Got it bandaged that night and had the bandages changed since then and, now, 7 days on, it's profoundly itchy - which I'm taking as a good sign.

Pro life tip, don't heat up loads of oil and butter till its smoking then dramatically slap a fillet of salmon into it with your bare hand. Or if you do, don't be as cack handed as I am.

Eventually having my operation tomorrow to pin my Broken shoulder bone and hopefully sort the frozen shoulder which has developed because of it
Had full on mtb crash on 1st aug and wrecked my left side, which has left me with about 40% use in my left arm
Conventional healing hasn’t worked so about 16 weeks later an op it is

Happy to be getting hopefully sorted but certainly not looking forward to the rehabilitation afterwards

I reserve the right to change my mind tomorrow from happiness to desperation hahaha

"Laser Mini 4WD made in Musashi Kosugi. I went there yesterday, but it seems that the people at the company were also interested in it, so I was all over the topic at the morning assembly. If you paste a small tag on your car, it will be projection mapped. There are no AR goggles, so people who are looking around can enjoy it, and if you bring your own car, you can enjoy it even more!"

Fingers crossed, I had an off in July on my MTB, broke wrist and elbow. My convalescence has been easy compared to yours.

                            Hope it all goes well.

Of all the crazy Chinese laws, I can actually get behind this one.
