I think there's another element where there are those like myself, who used to be devoted to anti-censorship and valuing the freedom of information, who have seen what this has done to our society and now believe that "the public", as a mass, simply can't handle that.

There are asylums for people that think it's ok to kill people. We should have other asylums for people that believe the world is flat - they clearly don't have a place in society.
