Sunak orders an investigation to find out who has been leaking info on his wifes tax practices
Hope whoever did that has covered their tracks really well; they just put the boot in that has stopped any momentum Sunak had of one day being PM. They'll have a "car accident" or drown in their bath if they're not careful.

Being a chancellor whose wife is dodging millions in tax per year is literally the biggest piss take imaginable. The hubris of these wankers is unreal.

He's also dodging tax...while increasing our tax.

We are now the highest taxed generation in 70 years.

They're better than us, so we shouldn't complain. We don't know the pressures of having so much money and power, and the stress involved in marrying the kids of the Masters of the Universe.

I, for one, welcome our Tory / New Labour / Lib Dem coalition overlords.

I don't agree with what they're doing, but I have some sympathy for them.

Mainly because I can empathise with one thing - their belief that we've lost all reasons have any faith in the government's systems to change things for the better. But ultimately I just rant on here then go back to playing Half Life Alyx, whereas they've chosen to do something. That desire to actually do something, anything, I feel for.

But the specific thing they've chosen to do; like I'm aware that fossil fuels are a problem but I don't know if they're going to achieve anything by doing this.

I have no sympathy for them whatsoever, slashing the tyres on all the tankers overnight while there in the depo waiting to deliver in the morning is dangerous, stupid and all it does is affect the average person in trying to live their lives, it has zero impact on the large corporations or the overall issue, it just p****s everyone off.

Their idiots who are just going to end up in jail, with zero impact to the world made.

Exactly, it's amazing that people have been protesting and campaigning for decades and yet so regularly groups fail to learn lessons from the past. It doesn't matter your cause, you need to win public support and if you lose it you will give the Government free reign to do what it wants and paint you as the villain of the piece. These tactics will just cause ER to lose public support and the Tories will become even slippier on initiatives.

I lost any respect I had for ER when they blocked the London Underground. Stopping the operation of public transport that people rely on for their livelihoods – great move, guys. Showed them up as a load of upper-middle class brats who ran away to join the circus.

Sunak calls for an investigation into his own financial interests and conduct but it doesn't stop the vultures from circling. Sunak seemingly continues to feel the path out the other side is to highlight his adherence to the rules, again completely missing the point that it's a case of basic morality.

France enters the last fortnight of its election and it's Macron vs Le Pen with the latter gaining popularity. Macron is still leading but the closeness of the contest showcases how much he's failed regardless of the outcome.

Think I said it here before, I was traveling back with work from Euston to Picc the morning after one of the protests and loads of them were waiting for trains, gobbing off in loud talk about their exploits whilst all the while supping from those bloody awful single use Starbucks cups.

Supplies were already suffering Friday, missus found out and we filled up then as a number of places in the area were already capping their pumps.

                              I filled up today
I was down to just under quarter tank which meant I would be due to fill up in a couple of days anyway so just did it early as a precaution

Same, they can just do one
Probably the worst activist group full stop, their antics with blocking motorways & the like was just ludicrous, they deserve no airtime & just putting down
