I don't agree with what they're doing, but I have some sympathy for them.

Mainly because I can empathise with one thing - their belief that we've lost all reasons have any faith in the government's systems to change things for the better. But ultimately I just rant on here then go back to playing Half Life Alyx, whereas they've chosen to do something. That desire to actually do something, anything, I feel for.

But the specific thing they've chosen to do; like I'm aware that fossil fuels are a problem but I don't know if they're going to achieve anything by doing this.

Exactly, it's amazing that people have been protesting and campaigning for decades and yet so regularly groups fail to learn lessons from the past. It doesn't matter your cause, you need to win public support and if you lose it you will give the Government free reign to do what it wants and paint you as the villain of the piece. I was down to just under quarter tank which meant I would be due to fill up in a couple of days anyway so just did it early as a precaution

And the petrol stations were empty round my way this morning, all i could get was £40 of 97ron at £1.86 a litre, I wouldn’t normally bother but i’m going away on Friday for my only holiday this year.
