McColl's may be the next major retailer to collapse

I love how the BBC coverage is all about it being 'Not so bad for the Tories', and Labour not doing well outside London. Rather than about them losing a hundred seats.

Surely this has to be the end of Boris?! How can they say he's doing well while having losses.

Can we have the Sue Gray report now, please?

Can we have a new government in power that isn’t funded by Nazis instead?

The Tories arrogance was their first mistake. Without the call to arms of Brexit to rally voters around they were always at risk of losing some momentum which should have been their cue to shore up. Instead they've let themselves get utterly battered by allowing Boris to decimate them from all corners with rampant corruption and incompetence. They'll likely rally again now, constantly thinking that each bad news piece will be the last. It's hard to know if they should get rid of him or keep him in order to further kneecap the party in the coming 2 years.

The Tories have made the classic mistake of letting their party become a personality cult. That usually ends up with the party’s support collapsing once the cult figure leader gets removed by their own party, retires or becomes unelectable among former supporters. I mean, Labour did that too and be would be recovering faster if they hadn’t become a weird cult under their last leader.

Just saw Laura Kunsberg on the news at 6 & the first thing out of her mouth was about remembering that Local elections are different & we shouldn't read too much into the outcome as it doesn't really mean much

As the final votes are counted, heavy Conservative losses are tempered by a mixed picture for Labour while Lib Dems and the Greens perform well. The SNP continues to dominate in Scotland and Plaid Cymru gain seats in their heartlands and beyond

9 councils left to announce but the damage is done as the Tory losses have spilled into the worser end of the scale closing in on 400 seats gone

She’s been the Tories (un)official apologist for a while. Good that she’s moving on.

The numbers don’t add up. Some of the won seats were won off a non Tory I guess. Anyway, tories losing is good.

The Daily Made Up News reported on the front page that Boris will deliver for Britain after better than expected election results.

                                And in big letters...
Bullish Boris back on track as "red wall" keeps faith.
