Steve Baker doesn't stand much chance of making it to the final two. Not sure about Mordaunt.

Church of England: There is ‘no official definition’ of a woman (msn.com)
The Church wrestles with defining what a woman is.
The obvious issue with all these wrangling stories is that they're always tellingly one directional. Like the transition of a woman to a man doesn't exist for them thereby exposing a lot of their real thoughts

So Liz Truss is in the leadership race now. Brilliant - there's faasands of 'em! Every obsequious toady who took a job she/he wasn't remotely qualified to do in exchange for propping up Johnson is now stepping forward as a political visionary and titan. I really hope we get Patel, Dorries, Gove, Mogg and Hancock to complete the set, and then we can enjoy watching them snide and defame each other to pieces.

On LBC at the weekend a caller got into an awkward bind by saying would Sunak, Javid etc have much of a chance winning the competition to be leader because they're not white. The presenter gave the response you'd expect in the spirit of equality but the point still stuck... this is the Tory party... and Tory voters...

A breakdown of the current runners
Pure, ignorant armchair glance view but:
Badenoch - No chance, Borisite with no notable reputation and I don't think the 'woke' campaign is the matchstrike she thinks it is
Braverman - The same thing but dialled up even more, very much part of the poison the Tories need to expel
Chishti - Can't imagine he'll get traction, likely just boosting his profile ahead of the next cabinet picks
Hunt - Probably get some of the way but I don't think he's remotely popular enough
Javid - Will get reasonable support for this slimy unreliable worm of an MP. Hopefully doesn't make it because he's so weak and very much part of the problem
Mordaunt - Possible runner, she'll likely make Ukraine arguments. I'm not sure the Tories are past the 'woman PM' factor but setting aside the risk of skeletons in the closet she seems popular and lacks the taint of Johnson which could be critical in the next GE.
Shapps - I can't imagine he has enough support to make it
Sunak - Regardless of his enduring popularity amongst bookies I feel only a true and utter irredeemable moron would vote for one of the very most poisoned and clearly unrelatable options on the table. Shouldn't be anywhere near the cabinet next time out.
Truss - Another part of the problem one who shouldn't be considered. Literally as I'm typing this it's depressing how there's a near void of notable MP's Johnsons era hasn't corrupted.
Tugendhat - Possibly the closest to another candidate who might be able to somewhat hit a reset button on Johnson's era
Zahawi - Pretty much one of the worst options on the table too
So, to me there's only two stomachable options pretty much meaning neither will win
