I stand by that for you and anybody trying to justify the energy companies telling clear lies about energy consumption to try and justify their greed.
Or... here's a shocking thought...maybe instead of putting out lies to frame the narrative, maybe the greedy energy companies should do the morally right thing and reduce the cap and the costs??

British gas maths works if you have a laptop, console, multiple TVs, speakers, phones charging and a host of other stuff all leeching power all night. And in that sense, I agree with telling people to turn things off.
But they used a calculation that was designed purely to frighten people and put a weight on the necks of the masses. It's the same narrative as telling us we are causing climate change... No, the huge energy plants and industries across the globe are. We are a tiny percentage.
My £24py is a ****ing drop in the bucket compared to a corporate tower block in London full of pcs, monitors and lights running all night. British gas wouldn't dare point the finger at them though, oh no, its Mrs miggins and her TV.

Did anyone else attend the fully charged event at Farborough?
The weather was a bit rough outside but fortunately there was plenty to see inside. Not a massive amount on energy conservation, but a lot of alternatives to gas etc. The only thing holding a lot of people back from switching is the initial costs it would seem. You would think there would be better subsidies For those wanting to make the switch but I guess the government is more than happy to trap users and squeeze them for more tax via cap increases.

Energy firms have been given three weeks to explain larger than necessary payment hikes
MP’s: No further questions.

Yes, they are very much lies to frame the narrative. Again, these companies rake in BILLIONS of pounds for profit and get BILLLIONS in government subsidy. But it's our fault for supposedly wasting energy by using devices that have been proven to use nowhere near the energy that they're made out to use???
It's definitely your opinion, mate. I for one refuse to go along with it, but you do what you like.
Lo and behold...Tory ministers now telling people who are struggling that it's their fault for buying certain foods. It's almost like this narrative is planned - funny, that.
