I'm curious as to how her testimony comes across. I don't doubt bad stuff from both sides but with Depp I feel the burden for her is to prove the difference between him hitting her and her getting hit by him out of self defence or similar. Regardless of gender, if someone was throwing glass bottles at me, kicking me in the face and hitting me for years I imagine I'd lamp them at some point too
From a public perception point it's too easy to say 'why didn't they just leave?' but if it were that easy in practice domestic abuse wouldn't really exist, the issue is that for those involved it's never a simple situation and there can be a lot factored in psychologically as well which is completely lost when instances are reported on by rags like The Sun. What's definitely missing at the moment is evidence or a sense that if Depp inflicted anything on Heard that it was done so maliciously or with intent which is something I definitely don't feel the other way round.
