I don't think its lose lose if anything it showing that men can also be the victims in violent and abusive relationships, too many people seem to be held up on the He vs She when it should be more of a win for all domestic violence victims. Depp has had his career and reputation destroyed over this so its kind of had to be be public so people can watch whats going on and make up their own minds on whats happened. High profile Celebritys like Musk who seem to be at the center of this dropping out of the case to start with damage control says a lot about how thngs are going for Heard too.

That's exactly it. The effect of it is only negative regardless of how it goes. And the attention it is getting is insane. Even here, it's like not a single other thing is happening in the US and already we're seeing the exact narrative you suggest as a result.

There's no real great outcome from it, I don't know if it's true but I've read reports Manson plans on launching a defamation case against Rachel Evans Wood for her claims against him due to this case and he is very much not in a comparative position, it wouldn't go well for him in any scenario but there's already the sense of push back against claims there through this. The flip side though would be for Depp to allow the media to control the narrative by keeping the case behind closed doors and if he had then he'd be ruined regardless of the outcome and it would be easier for her to hush away much of her actions.

Until these kinds of things are addressed at a prevention level it's going to be a mess

The critical cornerstone of Depp's case against Heard.
-A prominent industry litigator testified that the article created a cancel situation around Depp and halted his career and that it was clear to the industry that it was a call to end his career and timed with Aquaman
-He also said he believed that Disney would do almost anything to have Depp return to Pirates VI but not as long as the Heard accusation/trial continues
-An Internet and Social Media Analyst was appointed and testified that online discourse shifted in 2016 and then intensified in 2018 changing from his daily life to abuse accusations and substance misuse. Also stats that Depp's public perception took an immediate hit.
-Heard's former nurse also testified. Her notes were used highlighting Heard was struggling to cope with negative PR at the time of the couples divorce and wanted Depp to come back but no evidence existed to support Depp had hit Heard as per her photo's from the same date

Slow day till the end when Heard's first witness took the stand. A staggering amount of gender bias and hearsay submitted, didn't come across well at all.

The office discussion today called it though, on cue we got Amber Cry Face which faltered robotically whenever the subject changed for a second. The witnesses cross examination takes place tomorrow so there's a real window for it to get torn apart, then Heard is up.

I read that the lack of objections from Depps lawyer likely means he's more than happy to let that nonsense go on record so he can rip it apart tomorrow. Should be an entertaining week.
