This is in an autobiography, I think, by one of the BBC's former editors, and it's called something like Why are you lying to me, you lying sack of ****?

Tory anarchy breaks out as revolt looms on Brexit laws | Conservatives | The Guardian
I don't know what you call it when you go one beyond a hat trick but the Tories are on the verge of descending into a chaotic internal battle for the fourth time, swirling around destroying the remaining time of their latest PM in a row.

The Tories want the Drama of Truss Addressed!
Rishi sticks to an old school penny pincher approach from the Cameron years almost and - shockingly - the public are still angry at the last few years Tory corruption that has yet to be remotely addressed and get hammered in a local elections sweep he or anyone else was always doomed in - The Tories are livid!

      The Tories want Taxes Slashed
The thing they nailed Truss for, they now nail Sunak for doing the opposite - The Tories are livid!

The Tories want a Hard Right Exit
They installed Johnson to remove May from the course and effect a hard exit from the EU, things still drag on to the point of every change being horribly mishandled and him having so much time he hung his premiership on his own malpractice. Sunak gets to having six months to meet the insane deadlines that were thrown out for PR purposes and thinks it might be a tad stupid and unrealistic - The Tories are livid!

The Tories are clear - They don't want Sunak
They want a leader with the presence of Johnson, but not the incompetent buffoonery of Johnson. They want the lower tax focus of Truss, but not the enacting fast low taxation approach of Truss. They want the consideration to party opinion of May, but not the dogged consideration of party opinion of May. They want the fiscal responsibility of Sunak, but not the fiscal responsibility that stops them trying to abuse the finances of the UK purse through decimating UK law haphazardly of Sunak... oh, and they want a landslide victory in 2024.

      There is only one option...

In fight and destroy the paper walls of the party that are still standing up rather than show a shred of competence, decency and responsibility

Someone will be ready for the clean up I'm sure

The Conservatives have so much internal division that they should just break up into 50 or so completely useless and unelectable parties.

They always have, it's the Conservatives disease. Go back to the 70's and 80's it was the same, in-party moaning about Europe with the Euro-Sceptics kyboshing policy.
Labour never really had that issue with everyone toeing the party line.

Ministers call for immigration and UK food prices to increase | Farming | The Guardian
Farmers and DEFRA want the Tories to increase immigration to help clear crops in fields but to also hike up food prices

Well, I hope that a future non-Tory government would restore the rights of EU/EEA citizens to vote, a right which was recently stolen off them.

"Parties that try and gerrymander end up finding their clever scheme comes back to bite them, as dare I say we found by insisting on voter ID for elections.
We found the people who didn’t have ID were elderly and they by and large voted Conservative, so we made it hard for our own voters and we upset a system that worked perfectly well."

So Mogg now freely admits it was a kind of gerrymandering, that this attempt at cheating blew up in their faces, and that he now wants to switch it back. The unconscionable ****.

Low birthrate is UK’s top priority, Tory MP tells rightwing conference | Conservatives | The Guardian
The biggest crisis in the UK is apparently we aren't putting even more mouths at the table and through our dying childcare and health systems.

Too many young people are going to university!
Too many women aren't staying at home raising kids!

Female and want a successful career? You must have been brainwashed!

Roll on 2024 - The Tories don't exist anymore, this is just an Alt-Right threat through and through at this point

You can't believe there are politicians, who stand in the UK houses of government - great, public institutions, with centuries of history - who freely will say nonsense terms such as "cultural marxism" and "wokerati" out loud.

The Tory party might as well swap their crappy squiggly tree logo for a swastika at this rate.

Remember, the Swastika was/is a symbol of balance that was twisted into something terrible. The ****ty tree logo will be remembered the same.

So he's trying to blame poor results on that? Rather than noticing that lots more people didn't want to vote tory this time around....
