this is the most shocking revelation of that article

Aftercare wasn’t really their focus, I was told, but they partnered with people who did it well.
the people that did it well

In 2014, after OUR’s first operation in the Dominican Republic, a local organization called the National Council for Children and Adolescents quickly discovered it didn’t have the capacity to handle the 26 girls rescued. They were released in less than a week.
So the girls they rescued where sent back to their family's who had trafficked them in the first place not one of the 26 that they rescued had any lasting effect on their situation, or after care. Yet here we are the myths of what their doing enshrined in a film with more and more people brought into the grift that their doing gods work, when all it really is is a way to stroke Tim Ballard's ego.

Exactly - and Ballard and his organisation completely misrepresent anti-trafficking work as being about kicking in doors and 'rescuing' kids when the truth of it is far more complex, far harder work, and far less glamorous. He is achieving the square root of **** all in terms of battling trafficking, but successfully burnishing his own reputation amid QAnon-associated anxieties among American conservatives about rampant child kidnapping.

If you even needed anymore evidence that the American Dream is real you need to look no further than Musk, thats someone so stupid can get so far is an amazing feat, the ultimate post turtle. You know he didn't have the ability to get there himself, he has no idea how he got there or what he's doing, he has no natural ability to accomplish anything from there, and you can't help but wonder what idiot put him there. You can only pity him, for the injuries he'll receive when he falls from that post.

Hang on, that Twitter logo is basically the logo of the X Window System, right?

Pretty sure one of the keys to marketing is brand recognition. It's why Nike and Coka Cola havent changed their logo.

Or if they did, they wouldn't have used the most generic logo, name, and colour scheme you could possibly find.
Not to mention drag the brand's previous recognition through the mud for months, let one of you direct competitors steal half of your subscribers, and change brand recognition at the drop of a hat.

Musk is trying to bankrupt the company so he won't have to pay his loans back to the Saudi backers, it seems.
