The attack lines for Walz by the Republicans appear to be his dictator style lock down of Minnesota during COVID, and that he retired from the military before his unit was deployed to Iraq. Ignoring the fact you apparently have to file discharge requests a year in advance.

I just really hope that if Trump tries the bull**** he did with Hilary at the debates, i.e. the weird way he stood too close to her, stood over her, loitered over her shoulder - when there's an enormous stage and there's no reason for the candidates to stand within a few feet of each other - I really want Harris to tell him to **** off, to make a big point out of how he's being a weirdo, that they aren't cavemen in some sort of Robert E Howard book and she's not intimidated by him acting like some sort of weird, weird, WEIRD creep.
They seem to be backpedaling from that, because apparently prior to leaving he had been in the military for TWENTY FOUR YEARS. Even the suggestion that he's not legitimately a veteran is ridiculous. I think the debate will probably follow the same rules set for the one in June. They had to both stick to their podiums, no wandering around, and mics were switched on only for the candidate answering a question, so no interruptions.
And yeah, I'm not sure the COVID or military attack lines on Walz are particularly effective ones. The COVID one is doing the rounds on Fox News and related sources, but all he did was institute the same lockdown rules anywhere sane did.
The stolen valour thing - well, anecdotally at least, I've seen a lot of veterans on Reddit say they find it highly offensive. It's just not valid in any way. And of course Trump has history here, with insulting families of decorated veterans and calling them suckers and losers. What i’m seeing a lot of this time round is,Trump is not able to control the narrative, hes on the attack but nothings working or sticking, it dosent help that his VP pick is a laughing stock and a couch ****er.
He’s unraveling in real time spending far to much time focusing on things like being called weird and his lower crowd sizes.
His inconsistent speeches and rambling tantrums are putting a lot of people off too with footage of people leaving his rally’s in droves being quite commonplace.
he’s not got the momentum he had first time round and this is showing by the fact that his rally’s just aren’t drawing the same numbers as the first time around. he has his cult of maga but i doubt he has the swing votes he had last time.Comment
